Hey, who owns the system called "The Capital"? Nothing's responding to system-wide Trade hails, but I was able to request SD's diplomatic stance from that system(which usually requires current contact, since I can't get the current stance from The Nomads).

Sweet, thanks.

I've got company over for the next few weeks, so there may not be much Hazeron for me real soon, but I look forwards to finding us a ringworld and turning it into our own personal heavily-armed ring of death.

(What kind of pop does a ringworld support, anyway?)

I was able to get a ringworld pop to 7k last round...
Based on this, each part (7) of a ringworld can have 1000 citizens.

Is that "without penalties"?

Also, planets support less pop this round.

Come on, we can take more recruits. :)
Where's everyone?

Also, if you want (and I hope you do >:/) ask for the forum/IRC in-game.
They are finally getting active and we're finally beginning to troll each other.

If you guys still happen to be around I can invite now.

As far as the PTMC, im beginning to feel the same way. They seem incapable of reason or basic diplomacy.

Hey guys, I just did some math.
First, consider that the absolute fastest research- with a breakthrough every cycle- would take 3.82 days to get from TL0 to TL32.

With only 32 universities, all of them with 8 levels, you can statistically expect the average research project to take 4.14 days to complete from 0 to TL32.

The least expensive form of research, which is to have just one solitary university level devoted to a specific task, costs a total of 52.8 million credits during that time. Amazingly, the 32 8-level unis cost only 146.34 million during the 4-day time span. The difference being, the first one only needs a population of 60-odd taxpayers to proceed. The fast route requires a peak of 15,837 taxpayers every cycle. That is 18 normal (900-population) planets. Also, since you need to hold all that money at the capital, you'll need lots and lots of banks.

That is assuming a per capita tax revinue per city cycle of 20 c.
