Problems fishing

my fisher dwarf is refusing to fish after my first spring ends. this has happened to me twice now. Once on a freezing map and another time on a scorching map. No outside river. But my dwarf fishes in the indoor river until summer hits then stops fishing.

Are there announcements about the river/swamps running out of fish?  They aren't limitless, but replenish when the year changes.  Some of the fish populations are also seasonal.

No it doesnt. MY fisherdwarf just fishes for about only the late spring. Then he absolutly refuses to fish in the summer. Then he trys again finally in the winter. I got more fisherdwarves and now seeing if they too refuse to fish in the summer.
