The economy
« on: January 01, 2011, 08:30:48 pm »

It's been 'a bad economy' in the US ever since I've had to manage my finances, as a goods merchant many people are telling me this isn't the time to try to sell anything, that it would be more productive to provide a core service that practically everyone would need, such as plumbing or grocery work.

How is 'the economy' doing in your country, do you notice any major changes in the past ten years, have people been spouting that 'the economy' has been rough for the past twenty years, etc?

Feel free to discuss anything else you want about our financial times.

My feelings are perfectly described in this image.

To be honest, I don't know much about it. I know shits bad, and why, but I figure we can recover soon. i.e. before I go to college.

I'm pleased that we're recovering from the recession, but sad, because I know that it will happen again. The economy will swing between good and bad, and all we can do is hope that the good times will be longer and more intense than the bad times.

Or abolish capitalism.

Yea, communism is the way to go bro.

I always felt like capitalism was just much too unpredictable. Mainly because every few decades we get a sharp drop in economic output and suffer. Usually not for longer.

Oh, good. Instead of unpredictability we can just violate myriads of basic rights and leave people to suffer all the time.

x2yzh9, you ride my nerves.
But, communism blows bro. Stability in the economy might be nice, but having cash is too. People will be poor in any economy, capatalist or not. The causes are what matters. You need to work out kinks in the economy like we did this time. The economy is like a game, and there are 1337 1-141<3Я5, like the guys who set up the hedge funds, and the ditzy sons and duaghters of giants who inherit everything and then ruin everything and rule MTV.

Hate to double post, but this is true. Socialism works, communism doesn't.

Australia's ecenomy is different from yours. With out banks, even last cent is backed by the govenment, but you can't just open your own bank.

As a country, were slighty more socialist then you ultra capitalist Americans. Not much, but a bit. Seemes to save our skins when it comes to economic downturn.
