Well right now things suck in Sydney, Australia. Unemployment amoung young people trying to pay rent is at 40%, making my hours shorter and my luxuarys less.

I didn't work Christmas (store not open), but I did work New Years.
Anyway, to be on-topic, Canada is still doing great since the last time I said it.

Ever since the banks in USA fucked everything up, we've been seeing a pretty steady influx of new business and investments here.

We're doing awesome. You guys should do that more often.

Metric is so sexy. Man up and count in either base 2, or base 10, or not at all!
We should use metric clocks.

How's France, Germany, and New Zealand doing?

New Zealand, as always, is in debt, unfortunately. But hey, things could be a lot worse.

I don't know the state of their fireworks and I haven't watched many of their TV shows because they don't really get exported, but I can take some comfort in say that, with a population of a scant four million, they have less people starting retarded arguments about what country and/or system of measurement is the best. Possibly not per capita but hey, we make do with what we got.

I'm still amazed that people in "the West" think that there is going to be a recovery. Even in America, the man on the street knows it isn't really happening.

Well the current set up is that the US of A owes China money. Lots of money. So much money that that the value of there doller should drop like a stone down a well.

BUT the more the doller drops, the less china makes when the US of A tried to pay it back. So they try and keep the value of the doller up by buying American currency. This puts the US of A even further into debt, and will, sooner or later, start to drop the value of the yuan. This is great, because Australia isn't in much debt to china (Last I checked, how we doing boys?) and were in a position were we can repay our debt, always do! So as the yuan drops, the AUS doller rises, and we come out on top.

Thank you USA, you're putting us all through university!

First off, the debt owed to china, while large, is still a small portion of the overall debt, most of which is owed to american citizens. Second, the yuan isn't going to start dropping; it's already artificially devalued by China to both make their factories the cheapest available (encouraging multinational corps to drop production elsewhere and start hiring them) and to discourage their peasantry from having any foreign purchasing power, like what would be required to leave China, thus aiding in keeping them oppressed. China is quite literally the Wal-Mart of countries: they're a corrupt, psychotically conservative nation that oppresses their "employees," cuts every corner to reduce their expenses, and drops their prices as low as they can while still operating just to drive everyone else out of business.
