If he doesn't start soon... Anlewyrm can have a go. (We'll come back to whoever we miss later.)

Dear Urist: I, the overseer, appreciate your point of view about the danger that an unarmed goblin can represent at the other side of a fortification when you try to kill it with a ballista, but, as you know, you're not paid to think. And a mindless worker is a happy worker, so shut up and do your job.

I'm thinking about making a 0.31.19 succession fort... I'd upload the save to the SNProjectwiki... (I should probably make sure that doesn't die on me...) Would everyone who signed up for this be interested in a new one if I started it?

I'm still in, I've been wanting to try out .19 without actually getting into it as my primary version. I have no clue how to do any of the new stuff so my turn will be fraught with entertainment!

I suggest a 3x3 embark somewhere brutally inhospitable. Why not start a new thread and get some fresh applicants? Anyone who is still interested will end up reading this and head over there.

Good idea.

What about a completely plantless desert? Trying to carve out a city in the caverns is always Fun...

Especially when you've modded in... unpleasant beasties... (I'm not gonna spoil it! Okay, maybe one. Think of a cave floater cross-bred with a jelly fish, and its body and limbs filled with fluid. Pneumatic flying jellyfish thingy!)

Plus, it's a chance to show off the mod I've been working on.

Sounds good: a desert embark with the goal of colonizing the caverns filled with floating Man-o-war.

Pneumatic floating man-o-war that can strangle you!

I should probably refine them a bit though... embarked on top of a curious structure, and found skeletal versions of them. Talk about fail. :P

Can they munch on cavern bushes? Or are they stuck up-top?

They can munch on the cavern 'grasses'. However, those 'grasses' won't grow on the soil that's left behind after an animal eats some. So, it's a non-renewable resource. We can just tame some cavern critters for livestock, though.

EDIT: added something to use as cattle. Scaly cattle. Should be fun.
