I was a little concerned when my Sheriff beat back the snakemen, but had his left leg torn off, his right arm mangled, and a minor spinal injury.  Sure, he eventually made it back to his bed, but how effective is he going to be?

Erith Melbillorsith, Sheriff has gone stark raving mad!  

My sheriff is running around babbling.  This does not bode well for the state of dwarven justice.

Don't remember the message exactly, but two hours ago I had child who was posessed and made artifact toy axe with tin spikes (br-r-r, just terrible...) and images of dwarves in moonstone (um-m-m, I like it!). He got "Unbelievably touch" and "Very strong"! And, of course, "Legendary Stone Crafter"... He was one or two year old...

So... does the craftsdwarf just run around with the thong in hand, or has he/she put it to its proper use (ie, as a professional stripper)?

The picture of a dwarf holding up a coffer is hilarious, given the context.  How are the customers going to fit copper coins under the string?

Not a thong, but I thought the name was good:

At first I thought it was "shriekpants".  That would have been even better.

Unfortunately, the craftsdwarf doesn't wear the thong, just run around carrying it. However, when this game ends I'm already planning to send an adventurer in to search through the fortress and find goodies (I made an artifact bronze battleaxe early in the game), so I'll be on the lookout for the thong, too. My adventurer shall be the most fearsome ever.
