On a side note shouldn't protectors of you fortress be required to be sane?

I've mentioned this on another thread, but I really liked it, so here goes again:

One of my dwarves went berserk, beat up a bunch of other dwarves, murdered a cat, and was eventually thrown in jail.

Dwarves periodically brought water to him, in jail, so he wouldn't dehydrate.

He had beaten up one dwarf bad enough to be on prolonged bedrest - mangled arm, or something like that.

At one point, a message regarding the dwarf with the mangled arm came up:

"<dwarf> cancels give water: resting injury."

Payback!

Mine's from Adventure Mode.

I grabbed a bunch of Drunks from the town hall and went off to prod some undead buttock. My drunks were surprisingly effective at killing skeletons, but then the tide started to turn. In between wrestling zombies to the ground, I noticed the following two messages, one after the other.

"The Drunk vomits."
"The Drunk is unconcious."

I guess alcohol and beating up the undead don't mix.

And "no wrong way to eat a Reese's" is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, not Reese's Pieces.

He's a frogman, clearly frogmen don't get peanut butter cups.  Or possibly the thick rock over the cave river blocks TV signals from getting to them, so they never see the advertisements.  That would explain why frogmen are so grumpy and attack dwarves all the time for no reason, I'd be grumpy too if I couldn't watch TV or eat candy.

Not so much funny as horrifying, I had a dwarf that was wounded, rested in bed for a season or two, and then was back on the job . . . but he kept passing out.  I check closely and he has a dark grey mouth.  OMG, his mouth is missing!!!  I'm trying to picture it, and it just gets worse and worse.  What bits specifically are missing?  Lips, tongue, teeth, jaw, chin, beard, cheeks?  Luckily he could still eat, kudos to my cooks for mincing everything.    

Luckily no dwarf will ever be so afflicted again, "10/22/06: Added an aperture flag that stops mouths from being gouged out".  Aww.
