Is it possible to retire as a mass-murderer?

Everyone attacks me on sight so I can't ask to stay for the nights so no matter where I go (whether it be in a field or someones house) it only gives me the option to give in to starvation.

I heard your like sieges so I put a Goblin fortress in your fortress so you could siege while besieged.

If you travel far enough (assuming you're not in a pocket world), you should be able to find a civilization where you haven't mass-murdered.  Also, I think you can retire at dwarven, elven, or goblin sites if you're not hostile to them, even though there's nothing there.

You can retire in bandit camps so long as you retire before exchanging any blows with the residents.  However, you'll reappear at a random undiscovered night creature lair if you decide to come out of retirement.

Playing a cheesemaker in an average Fortress 'round here would be. Freaking. Terrifying.

If I recall correctly, I saw an option to retire when I was on a temple. I always retire my characters in a fortress for easy searching later

I found a bug , you can retire in other hamlets of the civilization , just be fast to get inside a house without being spoted and don't talk to anyone , then press the retire button , yet there will be still hatred for your character , or just run away for another civilization and retire there , boogeymans guaranteed
