 For those who don't know the one who kicking the crap out of that creature is "johnnyGhost" "SnakeBerry" a once bogeyman turn "keeper"(deon's mod human) and behind him is Atu the vampress adventurer looking at what should have been a peaceful negotiations with elves.

Bogeymen are:
Freaking impossible to hit, ever
Apparently immune to pain
Unable to bleed to death
Always found in swarms best described as "shit-tons"
Able to kill you with any part of their anatomy

have rank 9 (Professional _) in wrestling, biting, punching, kicking, fighting, dodging, and observer
can spot you sneaking unless you stand more than 3 tiles away from them
can teleport ahead of you if you run away, even if you are sneaking
can speak and learn, cackling insults
appear in groups of 4-6
are the size of a dog or kobold (easy to knock down when charging!)
have better ability score ranges than you do
have no friendliness, cooperation, or sympathy; don't feel pain or fear; don't sleep and like to fight
are amphibious/can't drown/they don't even breathe
are able to open doors and destroy buildings, but this is moot since they disappear if you go indoors
in general have standard humanoid body parts and are NOT more vulnerable to lower body attacks
do bleed
can be burned or bleed from fat loss
sometimes have horns with tiny contact areas (lethal!!)
don't care if you stab their guts or lungs, no nausea/breathing

Those are the important parts when it comes to fighting them.  Bogeymen do not feel pain or nausea, and do not breathe.  That makes gut attacks, lung attacks, and chipping bones completely useless.  They DO bleed, so it's best to try to kill them with bladed attacks.  They also are very small, so any slashing attack and most stabbing attacks can sever it, which makes it about as good to attack as the head, but with a higher hit rate.  If you can isolate one, knocking it down with a charge and then attacking a leg/foot is a good way to disable it, since it can't chase you and is much worse at dodging.

No, goblin/bandit ambushes replace wolves (they interrupt travel). Bogeymen are the sleep police/curfew ninja squad. Also, back in the days before night creatures where you could find a cave to the caverns, Crundles were the underground wolves.

Well my legendary elven swordsman was just kicked in the leg, mangleing it, causing nerve damage and loseing the ability to stand permanatly.
