No they can use real cartilage right now

My point is more that they don't just put cells in a petri dish and culture an entire nose; they can culture the tissue, sure, but the shape it grows into is determined via some artificial process or another. This is not the same thing as regenerating a body part, especially since the kind you're talking about has no functionality anyway, it's just a formed mass of cartilage and skin.

Why? Because it seems so Conservative

Really I thought the conservative notion was to buck up and take it like a man.

I forget exactly where, but there's a lab that's been creating nothing but functioning penises. Limb regeneration, though many times more complex (with the bones and whatnot) isn't impossibly far ahead.

Interesting, but I'm certainly skeptical. These things tend to get misreported in the media, and it only gets worse from there. Very interesting if true, though.

Either way since this game gets far enough for laser guns is regeneration for limbs that big a deal? The only issue is if we would allow it in 2020 or 2040.

Technology doesn't really advance in LCS, although some things change purely cosmetically. I always thought it was a part of the atmosphere - things really don't get better with time.

what if you could go to the hospital to buy a prosthesis?
I mean, you can't even get missing teeth replaced, for any amount of money, something which has been done for many years in simple dentistry offices.

I thought it was because time moves so slowly that future tech was more of an easter egg then an actual aspect of the game.

Yeah, until recently it was a rather delicate balancing act to even see the year 2100 stuff without the country going liberal or conservative first.  The expanded disband interface makes it more convenient.

Also true, although it's not hard to reach, simply create a squad, make liberalism popular, disband, reappear when things start looking bad again etc... but I guess many players wouldn't just do that casually.

Why not add prosthetics? Hell, maybe even plastic surgery?

We really need certain forms of plastic surgery. There's no reason why a guy with his teeth knocked out needs to go his entire life like that in LCS, for instance.

Plastic surgey is conservatist!

*insert trollface here*

Just kiddinge. We really do need P.S in LCS.

I think these are both good explanations and aren't mutually exclusive, although I think the latter one is more the intent.

While limb regeneration as a bug in previous versions certainly made sense, given the scope of the game (through the power of Heart, she has reformed!), I certainly disapprove of these "prosthetics" and "surgery" things to fix ailments inflicted upon Liberals. Why? Because it seems so Conservative. Show your scars from The Menace with pride, for they reveal how much of a difference you've made in your activism. If you all want to pretend to be the oppressive CCS, then, by all means, have fun with your Heartless limbs of plastic and malice; I'll settle for killing you with flesh and blood.
Eh, you don't want to be a liberal fighter with a hook for a hand and a laser pistol for an eye? Prosthetics should be avaliable to everyone, even a baby, at L+! You should be able to do whatever you want with your own body! At least I would love to have an option :D.
