Nenjin that's why I try to do as well, only there are several ostensible heads, who each have their own LCS under them. That along with a successor just waiting in the wings. That way, if I have 5 heads for example, I have 5 combat squads ready to move out at any time. It works spectacularly, so if one head is brought down I still have multible LCS who had nothing to do with them.

I model my founder after Mass Effect 2's Illusive Man. He hardly does anything himself except for soliciting donations after he gets a handful of recruits. This forces me to train those recruits well, and provide myself with a few back ups in case something goes wrong.

My founder is also never in the same hide out as anyone else, to doubly protect him, because even though he may not have a rap sheet, sieges can still kill him dead.

Once I have a decent income comeing in I leave my Founder and my Successor in the Downtown apartments. Noone else goes in there from LCS. Neither person does anything remotely illegal. Put up a flag. Noone suspects a thing.

When I first played Liberal Crime Squad, I had a convoluted hierarchy in mind which would allow me to protect my founder while setting up a massive system resulting in the defeat of Arch-Conservatism. However, when I started playing 4.01.4, I realized such systems were unnecessary; the game's too easy for that nonsense unless I handicapped myself. Consequently, I turn my founder into a Liberal Army Knife, capable of performing any task in the game. I'm not afraid of a criminal record since it only matters if I get arrested, and, if that happens, I'm more than willing to jailbreak my companions.

A visual example:
FOUNDER (1000 Juice)
- 26 Recruits (1000 Juice each)

Tada.

FOUNDER (1000 Juice)

Yowza! I can only dream of these figures at the moment.

I am running through try 5 and so far no-one important has died :)

I shall try lots of organizational structures suggested in this thread. Thanks all.

If you don't mind a bit of risk, a criminal record, and some 'F' key usage, you can earn 1000 Juice in under a week. Observe:

(The following screenshots are taken with 4.02.0. Why? I'm still playing my first game with it, so I have not yet bothered to update.)

Step 1: Create your founder.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Step 2: Send him forth to stop EVIL.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Step 3: Accost a lone Conservative.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Step 4: Flail at him wildly with your limbs.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Step 5: ...
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Step 6: PROFIT!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Repeat Steps 1-6 until...
Step 7: Assume the mantle of Elite Liberal!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

From there, build the Liberal Crime Squad as you see fit. The criminal charges may concern you, but you can deal with those later.

Meh. There are so many ways to play LCS, I don't consider any of them pointless. Hell, you can win the game with a bunch of hackers and hippies without ever leaving your safe houses practically.

So convoulted organizational structures may not be necessary, but then again, half of LCS isn't "necessary."

Same goes for quick juice. You can accomplish the same thing in about a month through theft. Sans people shooting at you all the time, heat, a record.....

Personally, going straight for the jugular is boring to me, because it bypasses half of the other activities in game.

How do I deal with the heat? Violence. In 4.02.0 (and I doubt this was changed in 4.02.1), you only need to defeat three squads of soldiers in order to repel a siege. So long as you engage the weakened squads, you will almost never get shot at, much less lose a Liberal. You can harvest the M16s and ArmyBodyArmor you get from the dead Soldiers, twiddle your thumbs for two weeks, and wait for another attack to come. This can get tedious, however, so what I do is relocate after each siege to a different safehouse. The government will waste its energy raiding the place you've just emptied before shrugging its shoulders and asking, "Where the hell did they go!?"

In my current game, my safehouse has 93% Heat and 90% Secrecy; it's a fully upgraded (sans Liberal Guardian) abandoned warehouse the Conservatives have not yet raided. I've been there for... uh, about a month, I'd say, and all of the laws are still Arch-Conservative, so they have perfectly good reason to attack:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Certainly, I am entertained by looking at other people discuss and implement their Liberal Hierarchies, but I would rather assemble a godawful Gang Leader founder with the worst stats I could generate, execute the starting Gang Members in order to lose Heart, and attempt to win the game from there than make a lengthy chain-of-command. I'll leave the funsies to someone else. =P

-EDIT: Typo! OH NOES.

I've beaten the game with just my found, some hippies to make me money, and one hippy to write for the liberal guardian. Only my founder ever went out and got juice, by sliceing people's limbs off with his katana. Was easy, hard part was in the very very beginning, after that it was just insanely easy. I play with convolted LCS structures now becouse It's more fun than just haveing my one-eyed founder kill everything.

I think there's always two camps when it comes to Toady One Productions. The efficiency people and the immersion people. DF shakes out kind of the same way. You can wall yourself off and build danger rooms, or you can suffer and bleed along with every single feature of the game.

Wow.  46 Murders and 278 Assaults.  Only one out of every six attacks ends in death.  Grimith really needs to work on his aim!   :P

Unfortuitiously, I cannot hunt and slaughter the Conservatives who flee from me. Otherwise, rest assured, this would have been done. =P

For those that wish to use Grimith's strategy without acquiring a criminal record, just go to the Crack House/Ghetto Block/Squatter House/Housing Project/Slum Block. Assault and murder aren't crimes in those places.
