This is fill up the world BETA.
World beta currently has 8 fortresses.
It has plenty of beasts still, only (?) dead.

Spoiler: Rules (Stolen from Jordrake) (click to show/hide)

1. Every new player embarks in a different place
2. Each player is to build a fortress or monument
3. A player's turn ends after three days of real-time, their fortress is brought to an end, or when the player is satisfied and done.
4. If a player needs more time to finish their work, they can ask for an extension, which can be approved by the next player in line.
5. If a player cannot complete their turn, we ask they upload their save regardless. Ruins and relics are as fun to explore as castles and monuments.
6. NOTHING TOO OBSCENE.OR ELSE.
7. Pm me with a blurb if you want one posted.

Large undeground city, destroyed by its patron god Anist-for worshipping other gods of course-with madness and war. Leaving only records of dwarven exploits and a vault containing a crappy sword.

Mirrorvale is firmly established as a small town, unlikely to dissolve from it's own failures. It remains to this day a community of farmers and leatherworkers, which are known for their local flavor in high quality lavish meals.
Mirrorvale is built just west of it's parent civilization, the Tome of Reputing, expanding the civilization to the Steppe of Swimming, a Temperate shrubland. The climate is warm and the sand just oozes wealth.

GiltThrower, a lovely fort at the crossroads of kingdoms of all the races, built to a grandiose scale. But the scrupulously scrubbed walls and massive, well-appointed halls can't quite paper over the depressed suicides, massive graveyard or constant frowns on the baron's face. Like it's namesake, GiltThrowers makes a lovely first impression that can't quite stand up to repeated inspection. What could have happened to threaten such a prosperous fort?

Abysshames. A nice little fortress away from civilization, that is unless you consider the elves a civilization. The inhabitants amassed reasonable wealth and the fortress would have had a long peaceful life... if the military had not grown so restless. Those who have exploring will soon notice something amiss.

First year of the Hamlet of Mirrorvale is complete, and going well, except for a booze shortage. Due to a sleight case of watching other stuff, we're likely to hit a sober spell. But it's spring, and the elves sometimes have booze.
