Well, in his old age, he could have given up his collateral damagey ways. What do you need?
I need a guy that can shoot stuff. Effectively. Also, I thought Hal died, didn't he?

No, his twin brother and original squad member Mal died. Hal lived, and made many buildings pay for Mal's death. Possibly even killed an alien or two.

Are there any barns or barn-like structures we have to worry about?

Let's see, leaking Oil Pipelines, Undersea River and Undersea Cloud version, various sunken ships and crashed planes, the occasional sea dwelling illegal alien, other aquanauts, and strange underwater crashed vehicles but no barns.

Unless you count the hotel in Island Terror Missions.

But the existence of all of the above is still negatable by well-placed explosives, right? Possibly with casualties on one or both sides?

Binwin Bingington III Esquire reporting, recently retired from the NASA space program and READY TO GET MY AQUANAUT ON
Huh, why am I mentioned in that? Also apparently a man from 1964 can time travel to 2040...
Okay, Binwin Bingington IV, son of one of the first Americans in space, reporting for duty as an Aquanaut!

Fire a rocket at them.

If that doesn't work, fire ANOTHER rocket at them.

Do so until they either die or we run out of rockets.

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Sonic Blasta's to the face to WONDERS underwater...

Also, reports of Disruptor Pulse Launcher come from the fact the whole team got wiped out when something blew them up.

Gentlemen, all Aquanauts are on alert.

Oh good god, I have a feeling that we are all going to die.

Repeatedly.

And painfully.

Let's see...
Playthrough Mission 1: Comrade always dies.
Current one: All the roster except Tarran, Ghost and Quibble #16 die in an explosion from an unseen source.

EDIT: Welp, don't have enough time to finish mission. Tomorrow, maybe.
