Well guys, I'm making a TFTD Let's Play to followup Azzuro's finished UFO Let's Play. This is gonna be similar, and if you guys want the original characters may or may not return...

That and I have a tendency to horribly fail missions that are considered easy. For example, Gill Men Port Attacks. They usually have the whole team murdered by a grenade or something

...Or you can reserve a new guy, using a format similar to this:

Bio: After the death of his first several clones Quibble, a member of XCOM, preferred to stay in the laboratory. However, his 14th clone and the survivor of the first war against the aliens died of natural causes, causing the 15th to step up to plate. Though he loathed it, he abandoned his wife to join XCOM for a war against the underwater menace.

January 1st, 2040, Off The Coast Of England.
The Second Alien War. Something interesting. Something of Horror. X-com operations were kept out of the public eye, and civilians who claimed to witness X-com operations were brutally erased from the face of the Earth. The public eye never fully noticed it until right after it.

Well, I just joined X-Com. Heard about them along time ago, protected Earth in the First Alien War.
My father, Phantom, was one of the X-com Agents who ended it. This all just strange to me, why are we under water? I thought aliens flew around Earth, not swim. Well, I better get on with this.

The officials named the base Evening Star, after the original X-Com base. It was based slightly Northwest of london, not near the island of Crete like the last one.

The base was still under construction, and many of the areas were cramped, except for the Sub Pens. 'The Living Quarters were similar to the ones of the Original Evening Star,' said General Foley. 'Look for your paper on your bunk and read them carefully.'
X-COM SOLDIER BRIEFING (JANUARY)
CLEARANCE LEVEL: SEAMAN
Welcome to the Extraterrestrial Combat Unit or X-COM for short. If you are reading this, you have already agreed not to reveal any of your work to the public. The following may come as a shock, but the purpose of X-COM, as you may have guessed from the title, is to fight aliens. To be specific, the aliens that we are fighting go by the designation of “Aquatoid”, similar to the Sectoids of the last war. X-Com procedure to fight these creatures is as followed:

When detected, our assault submarines, Barracudas, will mobilize and attack the enemies submersible vehicle.

When it is downed, you are to arrive at the site, neutralize any alien threats, and bring the wreckage back to base.

You will most likely be accompanied by the Coelacanth Submersible Weapons System.


You will also be armed with the following weapons.

A small dart gun, which acts similar to the pistol used in the last conflict. However it's firepower is dwarfed by many other weapons.


Such as the Gyrojet Harpoon Rifle, which is sometimes used by nations such as the nearby European Syndicate. This weapon is standard issue.

Other weapons, such as the Gas Cannon, are to be detailed to the Seaman that is chosen to acquire one on the verge of their first mission.

Preferred Weapons: Torpedo Launcher with Large High Explosive torpedoes.

Max VI: The sixth and final clone of MaximumZero, soldier from the first war against the alien menace. This particular clone has shown...mental instabilities, but less so than other copies. We hope to study the effects of cloning on the brain, and to see if clones made from clones are the cause of the instability, or if it was simply this soldier's stock.

Preferred method of exterminating aliens: Rifle-type weapons.
