I started drinking tea a few years ago, because the taste of the water was unbearable and I couldn't bring myself to buy bottled water. So, I boiled the water and drank tea all day long. Now that I have moved, I drink less tea ... but I still like it. I like green tea and I like it not strong.

I never cared much for green tea. REALLY nice water though is both amazing and hard to come by. My wife happens to be from an area that has some of the best water in the country (apparently it's very clean and just happens to have some very tasty minerals in it). The closest I've had is Deja Blu brand water, which is pretty tasty.

Oh yeah, just to stave off "it's water" controversy, you're right. The flavor comes from the minerals that are in it. Thus all Dasani water tastes teh same, and taste different than city water.

Detroit? their water treatment is very rigorous and is the freshest water ever, you can tell by the yellow clouds spewing out of the treatment plants . i live in Colorado so i can get me some really Fresh water up near the snowpacks and glaciers.

Same here ; water in Los Angeles were I was is awful ; water in Paris is drinkable, but still quite meh, so I'd rather drink something else. Water in Buzon, aka Middle of Nowhere in the center of France (well Bourgogne to be more precise) is fantastic. There, I like to drink water. But I like hot water and tea too, and we have dozens of different teas there.

Water in the Portland area is really great. It's one of the few cities that doesn't filter its water at all. All that happens to the water is chloramination, which is awesome because I hate the taste of filtered water.

I like Red Rose tea, the little figurines are cool to have, and it's just good tasting tea. Other than that, Earl Grey and English Breakfast are nice. Some herbal teas taste really good too. I haven't had enough of any non-black teas to know what I think of them.

My favorite is green tea, but Earl Grey comes in a close second. I like the water around here, but it makes for a nice not-coffee-or-soda-flavored change.

A type of tea made from the buds & young leaves of the Chinese camellia sinensis plant. They have high concentrations of antioxidants, and are quite healthy.

I haven't tried any myself but apparently they're very mild tasting and pleasant.

Oh, and it was my birfday yesterday and you know what one of my 5 or so presents were? Teas. (Checks pantry) Jasmin Oolong, Oriental Delight, Ti Kuan Yin, and Pouchong Teas. Can you enlighten me as to any of them?

Jasmine tea is really quite fragrant, but I'm not much of a fan of its taste. I don't know about the others, though. Maybe somebody more experienced with oriental teas will come over and enlighten us.
