Travelling to top left for strange task

I just had a marksdwarf travel to the top left, with a pickup equipment task.

When he got there, he took off a glove...

It's important to note that I didn't even touch his armour settings.

Did he later lead your fortress guard on a high speed caravan chase along the dwarven road?

Wasn't that one always described as a slow-speed chase?  I guess the caravans high speed might be slow for an SUV.

The bug...  dunno, very related to Bug 94 and the other pickup corner bugs.
