(...) Charging forth on your feline steed, you plow through a group of Elven guards who were running toward you. Arrows rain down from the rope bridges above!
(...) Your cat stallion weaves and dodges the flying projectiles!
(...) The giant rat becomes enraged and leaps through the air toward the archers above, shattering the rope bridge and slamming into the central tree several z-levels above the ground! Urist and HEN are holding on for their lives.
(...) It is then that you have the brilliant idea of using your flame-based magic around the cluster of highly flammable trees. One of the massive redwoods near the back of the retreat bursts into flames, and they quickly begin spreading toward the other trees!
Fantasy: hold-on to what I'm riding.
(...) The massive rat flies through the air and slams into the tree, digging its claws into the thick redwood bark. You hold on for dear life. A little too hard it seems, as the rat takes your applied pressure as a command to giddy-up! It climbs onto a branch just overhead and rams through a huge double door into a foyer midway up the central tree! Elves panic and scatter in every direction!
Fantasy: Attach the swordfish's... umm... sword... to my peg arm.
(...) Luckily, you saved the swordfish's nose for weaponization purposes! Unfortunately, you can't seem to remember what you did with it.
Fantasy: Get off the rope bridge and examine my new surroundings
(...) You quickly discover that the rope tied around you is the cord belonging to your grappling hook arm! You retract it and look around. Looks like you're on a flimsy rope bridge between two trees. Looking over the side of the bridge, you can see a huge tree, even bigger than the others. At the end of the rope bridge to the left is an entrance to the tree you just fell out of. To the right is an entrance to another tree which seems to be on fire.

Fantasy: Go get the mayor, staring down any elves that try to stop me
(...) You throw the Elf out the window, then run out of the interrogation cell with Elica only to come face-to-face with a group of guards! Like an idiot, you decide the best tactic is to stare them down until they back off.
...It works. The whole patrol of Elven guards soils themselves in terror and leaps over the side of the branch, presumably to their deaths. Oh my god this is the best thing EVER. YOU CAN GEASS PEOPLE. Looming above you is the central tree. At the top you can see a mass of upturned branches, knotted around each other and forming some kind of huge, bowl-shaped room at the top of the tree.
Elica: "That is the coliseum. It is where the sacrifice will take place. The prisoners' chambers are several z-levels below it."
You run across a rope bridge, bust into a stairwell inside the central tree, and begin climbing.
Eventually, you come to a row of cells. It looks like all the guards are gone. You quickly find out that all the cells are empty.
Frelock: "Elica, is this the prison Atho was talking about?"
Elica: "Yes, he should be here. Unless... they have already started the sacrifice ceremony."
Frelock: "Dammit, we need to hurry!"
