I got a warm sweater, some expensive chocolates, after-shave cream and a flask of manly cologne.

I got spending money at the start of Christmas vacation, about a week ago, which I needed desperately being a broke college student. Today I got absolutely nothing, which is fine with me. Apparently my half-brother also sent me a gift certificate which probably wont come for a few days.

I was pretty difficult to shop for, so I didn't get many gifts. I got a couple of gift cards however, a digital photography book, a new shirt and sweater, along with a box of gummi worms and beer salt and a couple Christmas-themed knicknacks in the stocking.

However, thanks to my nephew getting a DSi XL, and being distracted with it for the better part of the morning, me and my siblings were having more fun with his Nerf gun (1 of 3) and cuploink (or however it's spelled, which I got him) and trying to skeet shoot a ping-pong ball. I managed to get it after a bounce, and without bouncing, both in mid-air from a minimum of 10 feet away. Harder than it sounds. My sisters managed to get it after a bounce, but in a few more shots than I did.

I also recently got a new sketchpad (more casual one), an ornament, some paper plane things, and a few more snacks.

So, in addition to the academic probation notice, my takings thus fat this year include the Night Angels Trilogy, a Garmin nuvi 1300, and a Bluetooth headset.

I've still got stuff from my stepbrothers to look forward to, plus whatever I may get from my stepfather's grandparents.

Plus, when I get back to Arizona, whatever my dad may have sent me and whatever my aunt and uncle may have left at the house for me.

I get a pretty extended Christmas, most years.

I also got some knives and sweets in me stocking.

I was close. The rest of it was clothes, except for a twin-pack of Head & Shoulders shampoo - I have disasterous dandruff, but I've been using this stuff for years without any improvement, so it's pretty much worthless.

Actually Xmas gifts were boxers, a book about Kennedy, his political career and his assassination, another early American historical fiction book, and a big ol' fat text on the Civil War. Not terribly wild about getting books much these days, but the word got out I like history and so people tend to just grab me whatever from the Barnes and Noble History section.

Best of all though... a new chair I'm going to pick out later. God I've needed that.

I got a kickass katana for Christmas. After 17 years of weathering my parents down, I finally got them to get me my own sword! It's only a replica (real, proper katanas are like, 10,000 dollars) but it's got all the amenities, there's even manta ray skin under the cloth covered handle, which is an awesome touch.
