Things you got for Christmas today thread.
« on: December 24, 2010, 08:59:01 pm »

Okay, it's 8:56 my time, and I'm on the U.S. east coast, so some forumites are sleeping off that last bit of time until Christmas gifts. They need not wait for this thread which everyone knew was going to happen.

Beautiful new computer.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to work out how to boot windows from a flash drive. It's worked in the past, but not this time. :|

Maybe I should do it in the morning.

Well, since I had to get almost everything for myself because everyone else's money was tight...
-An old laptop.
-A shirt from a girl I know.
-Bread sticks.
-A movie.
-Gloves.
-A dog collar for my dog.
-Leash to go with said collar.
-$20 bucks from a relative.

I am going to be getting a copy of Spivak's Differentiation on Manifolds from my Grandmother.

Other than that, I don't know.  Probably a lot of novels.

Borderlands, Recettear, Uplink, Bioshock 1 and 2. EST here, but that's what I know thus far, since my sisters and I have an agreement that I get presents for myself on Steam that they pay for. :D

Not quite a Christmas gift, but I got a copy of Arkham Horror for my birthday. Very pleased with that one.

Not Christmas for me yet, but my sister gave me a cool laser/LED light pen. Doesn't quite write, but whatever. Good tool to have.

not very commonly at all.

this was all people who, like me, are actually foreigners, and come from countries where christmas is celebrated.

also, we'll take any excuse use for a party.
