People dislike him because he's popular culture. It's always easy to dislike pop.

He's got a fanbase of people, that means a lot of people think he's good. If it's possible to tell yourself he's not good, then you can convince yourself that you thought about the issue more than the collective fan base of his, which means you're smarter than the bunch of them. That way, you're cool for your opinion. Disliking popular culture is cool.

Disliking popular culture is cool.

Strangely, so is liking popular culture, and being indifferent towards popular culture. You can't really do wrong.

Tell her that Justin Bieber has a symbol that he'd like all his cutter girls to carve into themselves, and that is a long, deep line under the wrists, right on top of the blue thingy.

Really weired stuff in here, I have to say.

I hear the music which I like and do not care if it is mainstream or not but I don't refuse mainstream stuff because it's mainstream. Justin contributed in writing parts of his song, according to a German magazine.

Concerning audio-tools: Why should they not be used if music then sounds better? In the end, I do not care who's voice is best but which song I like, because this is what you're usually interested in...aren't you? When you do not like synthetic etc. stuff, then simply do not listen to it but do not claim that this would be bad music, because that's subjective and not objective.

Like it or not: Today a lot of stuff is more or less teamwork, consisting of specialists, regardless if it is software, music or writing books...

If you randomly check out youtube videos, read forum threads etc., you realize that he is being personal attacked with all means, starting by attacking his personal appearance and ending by that people create anti-Bieber videos

It is because if you look at the fans of Justin Baeber you sort of find out that appearance and subject matter has a LOT to do with his popularity.

The Jonas Brothers weren't bad singers either, but it was obvious they weren't exactly loved for their talent and neither is Justin unfortunately.

If you want evidence of this, see what songs are the most popular and see what they are about. Then see their least popular songs.

The Jonas Brother's best song for example is horrible with bad lyrics and bad singing (at least IMO)... but it is set up to be a love song the listener can transpose themselves into.

When girls get tired of Beiber's looks his popularity will drop drastically unless he reinvents himself since he isn't a good enough singer to survive off that alone.

Thus people reject him because they see his source of popularity rather then his genuin talents. Though personally he isn't really that good a singer, rather standard.

Don't really hate him, mostly because I don't care about him.

If I did, though, it would be because I generally can't stand people who have no hand in their own music or success. Hell, I don't even particularly like Meatloaf for the same reason!

There ARE pop artists who are actually artists - Lady Gaga may not be to everyone's taste, but she actually has a hand in the products that come out bearing her name.

People want to believe success comes to those who work hard and keep their integrity. Beiber shatters that fantasy every time he opens his mouth.

I imagine the rage people feel for the kid is in large part the same rage people would feel if someone became the "top" of any field they cared about by relying solely on the efforts and whims of someone else. It would be like if Kevin Warwick became the worlds best known and most loved scientist.

Lady Gaga is a genius.

Mind you what I mean is. She knows exactly what will get her famos and sell.

She has the talent, surprisingly, to do heartfelt balads and the singing talent to pull them off. She doesn't do it because her pop-trash sells more.

If I was sixteen and offered this chance, I would take it.

Raise your hand if you can honestly say you wouldn't.

*raises hand, then the 5000 of my secondary, cybernetic, removable arm.*

Seriously.

Also, sixteen and no broken voice? WOAH.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

So you all would give up free money, the only condition of it being going up onto stage and poorly lip sinking to highly auto-tuned songs you had no hand in creating in the first place?

Wow. What is this world coming to.

I'd rather have fun and not have to deal with craptons of screaming people than do that.
