Just to make sure we're on the same page here, what kind of people are you talking about? I'm talking about the kind that lost their job because a factory they worked at closed, and can't get another job because most factory jobs got outsourced and no employer in another field wants to hire them because they're too old. But I guess they deserve it for being so stupid as to get a job in a booming sector thirty years ago, and we should just pre-emptively kill the unemployed so they can't commit any crime.

Banks *do* spend your money, where do you think loans come from?

And yeah, people are inventive and thought of a way to pull off large projects and stable economy and social services and all sorts of other things. They named it government.

We're on the same page here. There's no such thing as no jobs. If nobody will hire you, go start your own company. If that doesn't work, try somewhere else. There are plenty of opportunities for those who're willing to take them, but many of those who're unemployed and unable to find a job are too stubborn to move to a place where they can get a job and didn't think of building up a reserve so they can get educated in a field where there are more jobs to be found. The economy is not something magical, people make the economy. People can make jobs by making the right choices and getting their hands dirty. An out-of-work factory worker can start a delivery service, a construction company or he can grow vegetables in his back yard and sell them to local restaurants if he happens to live somewhere where that's viable. There are many more opportunities then people realize. The easiest one is always to steal, but that's exactly the kind of people who don't consider the alternatives to most things they do. That's exactly the kind of people that make bad thieves, bad drugs dealers, bad criminals in general. They don't get how to exploit their talents or how to be inventive, they can't hope to stay out of reach of an effective law enforcement force.

And then they let it slip out of control and now a few "Government officials" are abusing the system to keep the population dumb and dependent upon the economic drugs they provide. People make mistakes as well, and the current government, with it's monolithic structure and dictatorial qualities was one of them.

Spread the word mate, your country has plenty of resource to tap into for those who're willing to take the leap. Unfortunately, many don't even consider trying. The western world is lucky in that a lot of jobs used to come about, to be picked up by anyone who wants one. Other countries, well, there people will have to take matters into their own hands for a change.

You mean like dozens of my townsmen who took the leap and ended up a mangled corpse at the bottom of the cliff because you can't sell anything when people can't afford buying it?

Seriously dude, come back and talk about this after you've been searching for work for 8 years and haven't found a single long-term job. I suppose I too could open a business of my own and fail, but I don't have money to start one and I can't get a mortgage on my internal organs :(

I was thinking more of seeking greener grounds where you could provide for your family. If people are too poor to buy your stuff because the crops don't yield enough, get fertilizer from the local cattle farms and trade that for food, or start working on a better irrigation system. If you're in the city and can't provide for your family there, consider moving out of the city, or start hunting stray cats. Suicide is the easy way out.

Also, first rule you need to remember, you're never to expect to find work where you've been looking for it for 8 years. If your city doesn't have jobs for you, try somewhere else.

Also you don't need so much money to get a business started. If you know someone who has a garage where you could store some stuff from time to time, you've got a start. You can get loans from friends and family. You could get short-term jobs to build up a starting capital.

I live in a mountainous country, we have no arable land worth mention. The unemployment is critical throughout my country. I'd go to greener grounds, but the damn coast guard is too vigilant. I can't get loans from friends and family because they're all having a hard time paying off their own loans, so no money to go around. I can't get a short term job because there are no jobs. Well, I do get an odd one now and then, but I never found one that paid over 250€ a month, and I spent half of it on fuel for commuting to and from work when I had it.

You're making excuses for not doing something, instead of finding other options. That doesn't really seem like the right way to approach the problem.

Virex has found the ultimate solution to all of mankind's problems: deny they exist.

Also you don't need so much money to get a business started. If you know someone who has a garage where you could store some stuff from time to time, you've got a start. You can get loans from friends and family. You could get short-term jobs to build up a starting capital.
And who exactly is he meant to sell things to?

You're making excuses for not doing something, instead of finding other options. That doesn't really seem like the right way to approach the problem.
Maybe, one day, the American right can move on from the Victorian school of thought.  One day...

Well fine, if it's so easy, you come to Bosnia and open a business, and if it's successful I'll eat my hat and work for you for free for a year.

I never said it's easy. Easy is not doing anything and expecting the problem to solve itself or to pretend there is no problem because you're hanging on right now. It's effing hard to do it, but that doesn't mean one shouldn't try it. That's one of the problems I'm pointing out, if things get tough, people back off, while it should instead be that if things get tough, people double their efforts. If we, as humanity, would learn that stopping when something gets difficult only leads to more problems, we'd be half way to paradise.

The only one who can solve our problems, the only one who can ensure our success, the only one we can rely on for anything, is oneself. Expecting others to do things for you can only lead to grief and more problems.

And the problem I'm pointing out is that you're completely out of touch with the real world.

I suppose them Irish should've been a bit more inventive during that famine?

Yeah, and the dinosaurs should've been a bit more inventive during that asteroid.

They took a risk knowing that if something would've happened lower in the tower, they couldn't get out.
