I was looking in legends after i had heard tons of people talking about him in adventure mode.
Apparently he is a capybara monster with a humanlike form and a stinger?! he wandered in the underworld before time  and he's the only one of his kind. then he escaped and usurped a goblin army which he used to lay waste to ALOT of dwarven guilds.

He has lived for over 1000 yrs and i think its time for him to go down! Though he does have 69 notable kills and 396 other kills......
So how should i go about hunting this demon? Anyone ever had something like this in their game?

You may eventually get a quest from a lord or lady to kill him, they seem to be big on the "threats" to the kingdom.

oh, i just wondered how common it was to have giant gopher demons lol. when i fight this thing should i just go with the usual strategies or is there any specific way i should attack it?

Since he has a stinger, you could kill him by throwing stuff at him. That, or have high shield skill so you can block the stings.

Sneaking plus High Throwing Skill plus Metal bolts equals Dead Demon in short order.

If you insist on melee, I'd advise targeting the stinger first along with plenty of companions. You might want to let the companions charge in first to make sure Strog doesn't have a breath weapon. If he does, well, that's a capybara of a different color altogether.

Once you've seen a massive llama with purple feathers, you really won't be shocked by anything.

BTW, I managed to kill that one with a lucky bolt throw through its heart, without it even spotting me.

If he had taken over goblin tower he should be in it, the problem is goblin towers are hidden from adventurer by reality distortions. So you'll need a strong wealthy fort in order to lure beast out of his ethereal hideout.

That really is common, and what's also common is them then becoming prisoners of some entity (especially dark fortresses back when they actually existed) but then joining you the instant you ask.

I got a web-spitting squirrel demon that way.
