Gold coins useless for trade?
« on: December 23, 2010, 11:32:56 am »

So I traded with a shop and got my gold(147)
And gone to the next shop to see that all my gold is practically useless to the other shopkeeper as I cannot do anything with it
If I trade my gold he offers 1 for a gold coin which is ridiculous
I even tried to put my gold into his chest and onto his table to no avail
Update:Seems that gold is dependent on the town

Its dependant on the Civ actually. Coins within the same civ have normal value.

The other half of this is that all coins are worth 1 copper when not in their home civ.

I wish I had something cool to say about this.  Because it's really cool.

Until there's some sort of money exchange set up, the best option is to set aside a certain amount of coins to buy things like large gems and figurines to sell whenever you move into another civilization's territory.
