umm... random dwarf pulled a lever and the entrance bridge raised... i know not of the lever to amend this.

I think its the lever in Magic Dwarf's room (top level of rock layer housing) unless someone moved it

Not in this place. We have whole magma sea here, so filling it with magma is like... huh... encrusting adamantine axe with green glass

Minor update:
No aquifers on this map that I can find with my sporadicly placed exploratory tunnels. Found the caverns. It is literally 22x1 on the southernmost edge of the map at like layer -15. Put a fortification there to block it off. Will have a big update soon. Was hit with a large project from school but I've set aside time to finish my turn.

we have two aquifers there that we know. first is under forges that hits the magetite cluster and second is to the north from entrance and down.

umm... that's kinda exactly what happened... I intended to fill it with magma but i hit an aquifer on the lower level, thats why it has water in it...

so I'd be a dead woman... ugh... and dont you stay in the same essential state as a ghost as when you died? so if my female self died with PMS, i would be bitchy till the end of eternity. Why the hell would you suggest that i kill her off and write as a bitchy ghost?!?

on another note, the game crashed upon the creation of an artifact right at the end of autumn... so now Im back in the middle of the summer with this save... I can either continue and update as soon as i can or if youre tired of waiting ill just post what I have and the next person can go and ill just tag a turn on later. I realize that Ive had the save for a while and I dont want to ruffle anyone's feathers

How do dwarven women even differentiate from men? Yeah, they may pop babies out and then carry them around for a year, but that's about it.
