I couldn't word the title better, but here's an example.

"Yeah, you can paint in this game, you just need to get a A dwarf next to a wall, and get a goblin to shoot him in the stomach. You can get both red and green on the wall!"

Any ideas?

You mean creative or roundabout methods to seemingly simple things?

Involving magma? I dare say so...

Ways to clean a place up
1. hope that the dwarves randomly decide to clean up.
2. flood the place with magma.

A man would see that as a difficult challenge.
An elf would see that and despair.
A dwarf would see that and say, "Bring it on."

I always thought that using a bridge as a catapult was one of the more creative unintended applications of this philosophy.

Want to destroy objects on the atomic level? Smash them with a drawbridge.

Want a method for killing any creature imaginable? Drop a ceiling on their head.

Want to make legendary super-soldiers in under a year? Just constantly jab them with sticks.

Want to make the most tiny, barren room an absolute paradise to live in? Just put a REALLY nice bed in it.

Yeah, in the future you probably shouldn't strike the earth quite so hard

Want free power? Hook screw pumps and water wheels together.
Want infinite water? Keep freezing, thawing, and partially draining a tub.

-- Trapping [TRAPAVOID] creatures using carefully-timed cave-ins
-- Creating infinite supplies of bluemetal by forging, using and melting crossbow bolts
-- Stealing the clothes off merchants; backs, then trading them back for useful supplies

Want to remotely open and close a floodgate?  Make a pair of rock antennae attached to a lever.

You can use it as a notepad, you just have to scribble designations in places dwarves can't reach.

You can draw pictures by using different colored materials and a whole lot of patience

You can use it as a calculator. All you have to do is build a water-powered 8-bit binary computer.

You can play it with isometric graphics, or over a remote terminal, it just requires some... creativity

I've always found the goblin repeater to be rather elegant.

Deal with a forgotten beast made of gemstones shattering your ankle-

Walk it off, apparently.

Goblin repeater? I haven't heard that before?

Best thing to do about the blindness pandemic, train a lot of siege operators. Because they can't see enemies, they won't run in panic.

Where you pit a goblin into a room set up so that it paths over a pressure plate that constantly cuts off its escape while opening a new one, as well as activating whatever you want to repeat. I tried making one, gave up and started feeding goblins to my pet ettin while I built a fluid repeater.
