try trapping it and see if bolts will fly through it without doing any damage.  or send wrestlers after it.  I recall reading that things made of water ploosh apart at the slightest hit.

While adding magma to anything will make it dwarfy, adding the word "magma" to your post does not necessarily make it funny.

Wait untill you get a titan made of salt, then have them fight, and see if you get a salty water titan.

Pour magma to see if it turns into a steam monster. Or just steam.
Or if your biome is a freezing one, expose it to the outside world and see if it freezes.

I'm guessing that it's actually made of ice, but the material is called "water." Similarly, if you build constructions out of ice, you can have a "rough water block wall".
Check the combat logs if you attack it to see if parts are "fracturing" when you hit it.

Ok, this officially sucks. The first Titan was killed in a goblin ambush, and then I just got another, made of mud, that was killed.... by a donkey foal. I wonder if the next one will be made of sunshine and kisses.

I got a forgotten beast made of salt once. It was just a big, living blob with two tails. It didn't even have anything to attack with, so it just sorta bumped into people. It was adorably pathetic to watch.
