All Elves (Except Karratan and Dhaekh):
Goreruby serves a breakfast of pudding, which is wolfed down quickly. Zrallin offers to lead what quickly becomes a decent sized rescue party. Those who volunteer finish their food first before leaving the table to make final preperations for the search.
-7 servings of Sweet Quarry pudding
Dusk:
You grab a bow, quiver, and some arrows from the pack animals. After a swift search of the fortress you find the spirit Logem just before your drug induced mystic vision subsides. With your mind almost clear you present the bow and ask the spirit what you can do for it.
"A flimsy weapon for your flimsy kind I guess. Many years ago I was murdered by one of the giant eagles who live on these mountains. If you can prove your worth as a hunter and kill one of them for me, I will let you have my family crossbow that I took to my grave. A word of advise..."
Your drug induced ability to see spirits finally fades before Logem can finish his speech. Somewhat disappointed you head into the caverns in attempt to find the Ogres.
After several hours searching you find the mill. You creep climb the nearby cavern wall and find a hard to reach and advantageous cliff that overlooks the small Blind Cave Ogre tribe. You take a deep breath and call out to them...
Caboose:
You head to the forest and track down a squirel without much effort. Focusing deeply you create the illusion of a strawberry on the ground nearby. The squirel makes a hilarious show of attempting to eat the non existent fruit. You generate more fake strawberries and watch for several hours as the small mammal tries to eat each one in turn. Eventualy you get bored and decide to kill the creature for food.
You conjure a bolt of ice and frost and launch it at the small creature. You blast misses and hits the forest floor with a loud crack. The squirel turns to run away. You quickly generate another bolt and fire. You shot misses terribly and flies into the brush, where you hear a low moan and a soft thud.
Upon investigation it turns out that your wayward shot struck a grizzly bear, piercing its head and killing it in one blow. You return to the fortress and use your new found ability to speak goblin along with your natural high elfin alure to convince Goreruby to help you haul the Grizzly carcass. When you arrive back at the scene of the 'successful hunt' you see a bear cub cowering over the corpse of its mother. You can barely contain your tears as you chase the youngling off and haul the beast back home.
+1 Grizzly Bear Corpse
Disaed:
You instruct Goreruby to tend to the injured Dhaekh with fluids, pale wheat, and bedrest before heading off to join the search party. The female goblin agrees to help out.
Dhaekh:
You spend the morning in bed with a terrible headache. The female goblin stops by your bedside every so often with fluids, food, and medicine. You take the offered aid and vow to never do that to yourself again.
You find your food disgustingly sweet, and the medicine disgustingly bitter. The water from a nearby surface river however is a rare treat for a subterranean creature such as yourself. You try your best to thank your nurse for her efforts, but she dosn't seem to understand you.
-1 serving of sweet quarry pudding
-3 doses of pale wheat
You are feeling better
Selande:
You decide to perform a quick sweep of the living quarters in the short window of time you have before leaving on the search mission. Much to your amazement you find a decorative yet functional adamentine short sword mounted on the wall of an unclaimed bedroom. You spend some time freeing the awesome weapon from its wooden frame before joining the others and setting out into the caverns.
+1 Adamentine Short sword
Ochita:
You find yourself unable to comfortably wield either of the heavy dwarven weapons with your broken arm. Eventually you give up and ask if any of your fellow search party members would like to wield the axe or mace. Nobody volunteers so you put the weapons back in your room and set off with your staff.
Karratan:
You take a couple calming breaths and begin to do some stretches to regain mobility. Just as you feel you have complete control of your body two massive soldier antmen burst into your cell and restrain you. As soon as you are under control a smaller worker enters with a measuring pole and begins to calculate the length and width of your limbs and torso. After almost an hour of being measured the worker forces your jaw open and regurgitates a sweet substance with the consistancy of porridge right into your mouth. You are given five mouthfuls of the edible ant barf before the antmen leave, locking your cell door behind them.
You decide to lay down on the floor and catch up on your sleep.
Zrallin, Disaed, Ochita, and Selande:
Zrallin quickly picks up on Karratan's trail from last night. After following it for about an hour you come across a wall of limestone. Selande points out evidence of recent mining activity. The group scatters across the area looking for clues on the floor. Eventually Ochita spots an elf sized impression on the muddy cavern floor. Zrallin notices a blowdart and some antman tracks leading away, and seeing no other lead the group decides to follow them.
The ant trail is hard to follow: The group seems to be constantly doubling back to pick it up again. Disaed begins to complain that he is going to miss the party, and refuses to shut up until Selande threatens to cut out his tongue.
Eventually you find a lard mound of dirt and soil reaching almost to the high ceiling of the cavern chamber. It is guarded by two muscle bound high elf sized antman soldiers. They spot the group, but Disaed uses his silver tounge to arrange a meeting with their leader. The group is lead into the mound through several winding passageways to a small chamber with a table in the center. You are invited to stand around the table.
Eventually the leader joins you; a tall humanoid figured formed out of liquid blood! Zrallin identifies it as a Blood Man, a creature of vast magical potential spoken of in deep elf lore.
"I'm glad you have a healthy respect for my kind, Zrallin, warborn elf of the night." The creature says in perfect contemporary Elfin "I am prime minister Sepotholies, servant of Queen Irthullothose. You can save the introductions, I can see into each of your pasts, and your potential futures..."
Disaed opens his mouth to talk but is cut off by Sepotholies. "Yes. We have your smith Karratan, but no, we will not likely be giving him back."
Goreruby was too busy hauling corpses and tending to Dhaekh to get anything else done this turn.
It is now noon. The next turn will cover 6 hours until dusk. Dusk must RP diplomacy with the Ogre's before I can roll the next turn. The rescue party must RP diplomacy with Sepotholies before the next turn. The goblin party is next turn. One of the elves not doing diplomacy should attend.
