"What does the ritual of the changing crowns involve exactly? Why is he not likely to survive?"

Sepotholies places his hands on the stone table and drags them across the surface, leaving a red streak. "It is a simple ritual. A new queen has recently reached biological maturity. She has the right to inherit the thrown unopposed by any of her living predecessors. Queen Irthullothose has chosen glorious death in the arena over banishment and adventure. Karratan has been chosen as an outsider to deliver the queens death."

"Katarran is no warrior; he won't provide any sort of challenge to the queen. I will. Now, I'm willing to take his place, but only if you're willing to make it worth my time. You see, there's this party I was planning on attending. I'd really hate to miss it, but, if I could be persuaded otherwise, I guess I could skip out."

Sepotholies draws himself to his full height and locks eyes with Zrallin "Should the outsider participant in the ritual survive the combat he will be rewarded. I would be willing to make the substitution, but you are just a warrior. You have no authority to deprive your people of your sword."

The Bloodman slides across the floor and stares at Ochita and Disaed. "If you would like a substitution to be made, the decision would have to come from either the Elder Ochita or the probable future leader Disaed."

The bloodman fluidly waves his hand through his head. "Ochita, the arena is constructed in a location inhospitible for Geomancy; if it wasn't we would need a whole army of outsiders to ensure the queens death. Besides beings of great age and wisdom such as ourselfs would do best to avoid playing the games of the young."

Turning to Zrallin the strange humanoid seems to crack a smile. "You fighting instead of Karratan is a fine idea. I'm sure the antman masses will find a fight between their queen and an actual warrior more exiting than seeing a smith get stomped flat. I will not burden you with your odds of survival, however they will be significantly higher than Karratan's. If neither Disaed nor Zrallin have any objections I shall arrange the substitution!"

I shall cut the uncut star rubies. I must not waste materials I have borrowed from the earth. I shall then set them in a silver headband. I will take my time, so I may make the best use of the materials.

Say "You are mistaken ogre, 'Favors' is not an elf but a task, to be done to make lives easier." Stupid ogres this is why I never talk to them, "Us elves would like the use of that mill, is there anything at all you ogres would like?" Besides food...you hungry bunch of fools.

Strum the string on my bow, to make sure it is tight.

You find comfort in the tight bowstring. "Elf is smart and not afraid of the hot. Can Elfs make weapons of smooth fired rock? Huurog let you use use his mill of Huurog get Huurog sized headchopper or bone-crusher. Then Huurog better kill bug and fish people for food."

Say, "I will fire for your group one weapon per ogre, for my use of your mill, do you agree?"

Count ogres, then go back to the fortress, and try to make contact with my demon through the door, if I can ask it if can help me make some decent ogre sized weapons that will poison to death any who eats something killed by them, preferably over several days (do not to use my favor forget it if there is no other way), if I cant then try to process some of that blood lichen into something that wont get my blood boiling and try some to get contact, if it dont work just take some blood lichen, and then see if I can find that ghost again to see what he was saying before I sobered up (if there is time in the turn).

Aye, there are no objections from my end. I am in fact to glad to know we have reached a mutual agreement, and spared our poor smith a horrible fate. If Zrallin should fall in honorable combat with your queen, I and my fellow Elves will bare no grudge to your people. In the future, I would suggest a more open policy of diplomacy than....sleeping darts to the neck from ambush...

I would ask I be allowed to witness the contest myself, if such thing is allowed, and render what help I can to Zrallin in the realm of tactical expertise. And of course, I always enjoy a good show! My good friend Zrallin will not fall so easily, even to such an esteemed ruler as your Queen Irthullothose.

On a personal note, I marvel at what I have learned of your race. To see all futures...and all pasts. You know how its all going to turn out, right? How small and fleeting must our actions seem, even to ones as long lived as Elves!

Actions: If allowed, Attend Zrallins cage match with unseeming gusto. While I'm here, I try to learn about the antman civilization and perhaps gain a audience with Queen Irthullothose to partake in her wisdom.

Otherwise, head back to the base and get ready to party. Woo!

"I just advise the queen, prepare the rituals, and clean up diplomatic messes. I'll make a note to the hunters that elves should not be darted, no guarantee they will listen to me. If you wish to watch the ritual I have no objection. The fight will commence as soon as both participants are ready. Should Zrallin fall I will personally cover any burial expenses and reimburse your people for the loss of a soldier. I blame myself for not foreseeing the capture of a species that I hold in high reguard."

Sepotholies lets out a faint laugh before continuing. "If I were to watch all futures and all pasts I would have no time to get anything done in the present. I just observe the relevant past and probable futures. I made the choice long ago to use my talents in a practical and worldly manner."
