The temple, the arena, the entrance...you pulled out a great turn, peregarrett. Thanks for playing!

On to the next guy.

Not really great, you know. Not much !!FUN!!, just dull routine.

Uh, I forgot. Danger room isn't fully linked to lever now - I think it'll take another 10 jobs of linkage or even more.

There is little hint for linking - when you add jobs, you can order double linkage of same object, so you should take care, as it's just the waste. But after the job is done, the game forbids you from linking same object to same lever and just removes it from list of available objects. It hepls in massive mechanical works.
So, I follow this linking schema: first, you order 10 jobs of linking, taking care of not to add doubles. Then you wait for all them to be finished without adding any jobs. And then you order another 10 - you're guaranteed not to link to the same object again.

I just saw a guy with two broken legs push a minecart with a corpse in it. Yeah.

Downloaded, and looking around.  Still not sure how fast this turn will go, we'll see.

1st Granite
Dorfed myself as a mechanic.

Stopped ironworks
Set smelters on steelworking, specified specialist armoursmith/weaponsmiths
Removed Hauling from carpenters, brewers, farmers
Gathered plants, found some sweet pods cos we had no seeds
ALL of our steel gear is low quality imported. Making 30 full sets of steel, 10 spear 10 sword 10 axe
Sarvesh crawled out of bed to try to find her babies; she doesn't seem to realise they're both dead.

3rd Granite
Sarvesh crawled outside and is just sitting there in the rain and snow.
Was huge empty house on Z131, so I occupied it.

10th Granite
removed CMD from military. He's pretty good with the hammer but also our best diagnostician by far.

2nd Slate
Fey Mason

11th Slate
Mason wants yarn cloth, don't think I can get any
Told military to use steel armour

23rd Slate
Mayor Bomrekkekim mandates we make crystal glass items.

27th Slate
Migrants arrive. Cheesemaker insisted he could make use of some milk we had lying around. Got good bowyer who can make preparations for an eventual marksdwarf squad, a few furnace operators, a few threshers, mason, butcher among others, and 10 fresh-faced dwarves for the military.  22 total.

14th Felsite
Goblin seige! Have to redesignate 'Inside!' burrow cos it hasn't been used in ages.
Ilral Inkworship is ready to fight the thief we captured last time. We now have another fully qualified militia captain.  His squad is full of the conscripts who immigrated with him.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

15th Felsite
Elven ambush! They've come to defend the fort from the goblin hoard!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The elves seem to have surprise on their side, but the conflict doesn't come without casualties.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

16th Felsite
Moody mason went berserk.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The helmed woods have been stationed to put him down.
The mason beats up some dogs and cats while everybody runs in panic. Ducim windtime, a new conscript who has only had time to put on a breastplate, runs in to save the day. He only lands a few punches before The Helmed Woods arrive with steel swords to cut the mason to pieces.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

18th Felsite
Too close to call who won the elves vs goblins fight, as their remains are scatter all over the hillside. Most are either dead or dying, so we send out the three strongest squads to clean the rest up.
Disappointed at missing most of the battle, The Whiskered Ramparts take 10 pages of combat reports to finish off the last bowgoblin.

1st Hematite
Exploratory shafts into the cavern have revealed a number of sinkholes where, due to some uknown subterranean cataclysm, a drain has sunk below the level of the bottom of the lake. The lake is constantly flowing into these drains from all the map edges.  I'm going to drop some cave-ins into the gaps to try to stem the flow.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

28th Hematite
First cave-in was a success
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

6th Malachite
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Second also succeeded.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
As did the third. Getting the hang of this now.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

20th Malachite
More migrants(!) 9 in total. Mostly conscripts but a few good farmers.

1st Galena
The sixth cave-in is complete.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It was going to be the last, but there's three or four sources of water still flowing into the sinks, so we need more cave-ins to isolate one of them.

18th Galena
Human caravan
Fey woodcrafter

24th Galena
Bought mostly wood, food and leather from the caravan.

7th Limestone
Zon Atolgeshud the woodworker finished his artifact.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

24th Limestone
Last cave-in, and this time I promise it's the last one. I think.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

11th Sandstone
Migrants tried to slip in unnoticed.  Conscripted most of them, but we're out of qualified captains, and have no more prisoners to make more.

11th Timber

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Two big squads of goblins, all mounted.
One of the goblin leaders' cave crocodile jumped down an outside well into an irrigation channel.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
There's not enough water in there to drown the goblin, but the entire squad's sitting around waiting for him to come out.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The trolls don't wait for the spearmaster goblin though, they charge across the traps to our waiting militia.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
They are promptly slaughtered.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The cave crocodile-riding goblins just run around toppling some of the statues near that strange stone outside.
A random Suturer walked across the battlefield and got hit in the head by a bolt from an approaching goblin. Our only casulaty so far.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Now that we have sufficiently many captured mounts for captain promotions, I've given the order to charge.
The untrained conscripts aren't the most elegant combatants, but they get the job done
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Ingiz the conscript is set upon by Giant Olm and Cave crocs, and is torn apart limb from limb
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
DevilEd the militia commander gets into a tussle with a cave croc and comes out minus a foot
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Evnetually the goblins are worn down by superior numbers and equipment.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

A third wave of goblin bowmen arrives over the hill. One of them rides a giant bat, firing down upon DevilEd and hitting him in the head.

The remaining dwarves charge up and kill them. Dwarven casualties from the siege: 4. Injured: lots.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Meanwhile a giant olm crawled out of the underground lake and murdered two dwarves before stepping into a cage trap
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

5th Opal
Atil realised he wouldn't be able to complete his carpentry artefact and went insane.

8th Obsidian
After spending over three months postponing his initiation by claiming he needed to pickup equipment, I threatened to send Zulban Ragmoon into the arena fight naked but for his spear. Unsurprisingly, he made the fight a higher priority.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
See that wasn't so hard now, was it?

24th Obsidian
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
They ambushed a puppy.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Into the cage traps they went, and a passing hammerdwarf finished the job.

28th Obsidian
Adil Lashtemples' militia captain initiation is due today; he's fighting a captured cave crocodile. Instead of fighting him, it makes a run for the door and tries to break it down.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Adil draws it into a fight, but it's a tough opponent and doesn't go down easily.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
They're still fighting when Spring rolls around.

My turn has, alas, come at the same time as my Ardentdikes turn. I'll have to put it off until I'm done with that. If someone wants to jump in ahead of me and take a turn, that's fine, otherwise it'll be about a week before I'm able to get around to this.

We have run out of people. Damn, I didn't see that coming. I guess that if no one wants to replay his turn or sign up, I think we should wait for your turn in hopes it attracts new players.

Right away? I'll start tomorrow, probably.

EDIT: That's kind of funny, actually.
