So...

Carefully pry what you can see out of the mine with minimal vibration while floating on hoverboards (barely any Materials gained, but safe)
Restart Mining, get Material. (Steady Material flow again, but cause the burrowers to start appearing)
Ignore Mine. (Explain in post, please)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Nodachi, as overly heavy as he is with all that stuff, is an amazingly good tank. The Railgun Katara isn't self-powering though, and eventually turns into two unpowered adamantine katara. Behind him is Griph with his Chainblade, and behind him is everyone else.
But more scouts appear from what looks like a rather large...hole. You can hear squishing and other organic noises coming from it but aren't close enough to tell what it is exactly.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Use the Borce to examine the hole.
(I love having borce powers)

The Borce does not want to examine the hole. It feels like a yawning maw of evil doomie blackness.

When you occupy the choke-point between two opposing armies do you:
A: Die horribly?
B: Die horribly?
C: Die horribly?
D: All of the above?

You guys are only facing a single opposing army from one entrance, not two. the Borce-disliked hole is across the room from you guys.

Do any of the enemies fly? If you guys could hold them off, I could fly over the hole with my rockets and check it out.

You two switch, and Nodachi flies over the hole. it spits a scout at him, but does no damage due to it missing the rockets. the scout lay heavily dazed off to the side after being shot into Nodachi head first. Griph's armor is having trouble maintaining its effectiveness against such a swarm.

does nodachi need ALL of his rockets?
No, but if he lost more than a fourth of them he'd lose at least half of his mobility. the engineers went a bit overboard to keep them as strain-free as possible.
