So...

Carefully pry what you can see out of the mine with minimal vibration while floating on hoverboards (barely any Materials gained, but safe)
Restart Mining, get Material. (Steady Material flow again, but cause the burrowers to start appearing)
Ignore Mine. (Explain in post, please)

No, they've got enough to repair already.
Unless you think there was more than one of those Armorbeasts, which likely won't happen for awhile unless rty uses up all of the luck. (and even then, still probably not. Swarms are more likely than boss-likes.)

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

He'd be a pretty horrible choice for a crash test dummy. They could probably use him as the thing the vehicle crashes into though.

There is a helmet to go with it right?

Just cover your head with some part of your body that has armor, they aren't expecting it to take very long to "Test".

You will have a helmet once you have something floaty and less instantly over, though. (like rockets, or that sports equipment from the book Extras that could be set to Zero-G mode. Or something like that.)

Bah, I'm going to try again later. nothing but swarms and single scouts for some reason. Good luck for you guys, but not for trying to "test" this.

I believe I speak for Gustave and the NPCs inhabiting the dome when I type: We're okay with single scouts.

Single scouts are boring to write for, though. You know you guys will win, I know you'll win, and it just seems like pointless filler.

I can smash things to paste with a sword, rty can loom at them menacingly, and Harlon can fry their brains with his shiny-ness. Grimith and Furtuka, get something to gimmick your way to glory with.

Grimith could throw DC-8s at them, but I don't know how I could fit that in.

Gustave Guischard breaks the Fourth Wall.
Gustave channels the powers of Grimith, Lord of Get On With It!
Gustave summons a Boeing 747!
The Boeing 747 seethes in hate!

...Hrm. More seriously, I think Gustave still wields the shovel. If Gustave could convince the engineers of the dome to make a shovel-staff in order to stab the forces of doomy doom in the neck before whirling the other end around and cracking their faces down into the dirt, then he'd have a gimmick of some kind, I reckon.

So it would be something like a Megaton Shovel Hammer?
