So...

Carefully pry what you can see out of the mine with minimal vibration while floating on hoverboards (barely any Materials gained, but safe)
Restart Mining, get Material. (Steady Material flow again, but cause the burrowers to start appearing)
Ignore Mine. (Explain in post, please)

(added, Bloog)
DAY 6
MOOKs continue to attack the domed city as Trader leaves.
Spoiler: Map (click to show/hide)

Griph Stands at the Southern Gate and digs some trenches.

Roll: 17 +1 trench defensive bonus=18
Griph laughs as the silly mooks fall in the trenches, but not hard enough that he forgets to stab them! The grossness of the pools of greenish black goo now in his trenches could be used as a moat, but he doesn't really want to touch the stuff.

Zeno sits at the Western Gate, smug. Nothing will go wrong, both of them are here now!
George returns to see his partner is still Not-dead. this is a good thing, he thinks. The lack of more greenish black goop and multiple scorch marks is a bit odd, though.
Rolls:2-2=0,7

Zeno knocks himself and George unconscious with the backfired charge! the engineers electrocute the mooks so much the lights dim for a second, just barely stunning them.

Twil is to excited about his new DICE RAILGUN to notice Kenwashi appear with his dual Adamantium Katara.
Kenwashi seems to be a bit miffed by the lack of greeting, but the constructed thing Twil is messing with does look quite useful if it works.
Rolls:17,6
Railgun Roll:19

Twil easily picks of 2 of them, but Kenwashi's attempted charge end up with him being punched in the face by a mook. he stabs that one in the arm and retreats to the railgun, which he has much better success with, killing 3 of them with multiple dice to the face.

there are now 0 TINY ALIENS, 15 SMALL, and 10 MEDIUM ALIENS dead and ready to trade. Griph has 5 SMALL and 10 MEDIUM in his pile. Trader has left.

Health:
Griph: OK!
Zeno: OK! (but unconscious)
George: OK! (but unconscious)
Twil: OK!
Kenwashi: OK!

RP/Non-RP time! (or we can just skip to next, same as before)

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Re: Trapped. - Semi-amazing entrance by DICE RAILGUN!
« Reply #197 on: December 22, 2010, 12:32:30 pm »

Alright! My railgun worked!
*highfives rty in OOC, and highfives John in RP*
Now then- the mounted weapons are a good idea, give us more rolls to kill stuff with and avoid epic fail.
Replace the batteries, and build another such railgun, preferably two. One for each gate. Like I said, more rolls means that we have more chances to get lucky, and the railgun is a fairly safe weapon to critically fail. At worst, the batteries would blow up, or the wires would melt. There should be enough material that the batteries blowing wouldn't be dangerous, though it would certainly make the thing not work. Same with the wires.

Twil's mood has improved!

I'll grab a pump from the sanitation construct so I can clean out my trenches. Plus, having some DT blood for the scientists to run tests on can't hurt.

"Oh well, first day's always the hardest, right?

EDIT: You mixed my name up with someone else, just noticed.  It's Kenwashi Nokami.

EDITEDIT: Should we just run the next turn then?

EDITEDITEDIT: Thanks for the fix.

Flying baddies now?
Nope, but possibly just as bad at this point. (every week's end has a possibility of this, you'll see in a minute.)

See post title.
I sense a big wave of enemies, or a random incident of doom.
