They really arent, if I remember properly from the steam page there isnt even a save system yet. D:

There is no save and it seem to be going the *episode* way.. wich scare me a little.... specially if you look at the timespan......

agreed, I don't think episodic content makes the most sense for this type of game. I'd rather they get in the base features release that preferably as sandbox and just update it until they are satisfied that its the game they intended it to be.

When i first heard about this game, i wished it would have been a randomly generated world with *random* story unfolding from interaction between each colonist and survival, now? ... i dont know, i have a weird feeling about the new direction it seem to be going... sad because i really loved the initial design document.

Unless episode are more like milestones? If it is the case and im just misunderstanding their direction approach ill be glad.

The episodes are dev milestones. while there is no random map generator we still have the option for Scenario or Sandbox mode for multiple maps and i probably can assume they would make some type of map editor for custom work.

If there is no random map, i highly suggest releasing the map editor, a community can churn out a lot of map quickly while the dev focus on something else.

That's not really *new*, as the initial plan on developer's original Conlan's Claim page revolved around playing episodes in the colony's life cycle.

Still glad they're working on randomizing.

I just wish I could save, and the demo was more than 50 minutes long. Well, I have yet to survive 50 minutes but if I do I'll surely want to play longer.

Theres a beta patch on steam to skip the ending for the current scenario and continue playing even after the 50 minutes. It should release stable today but that definitely helps for those that want more.

I finally picked this up, its actually quite good. I like the area assignment system and the production system. Working through the new 'clay pit' scenario right now.

Be warned, I ran into an issue with some scenarios. Basically if your screen is big enough to show the entire site map at once, the renderer will crash. They're working on a fix, but that one confused me for a while. :)
