I figure it's best to suggest it as early as possible. It has to be implemented early, otherwise they'd have a completely different system set up for their 'normal' maps and it would end up being twice as much work.

Then again, them seem to already have at least 1 map finished, so it might already be too late.
I think it would be best to have both options, like Tropico.
I think they could add randomly generated maps as a patch, after they're done with all the real good stuff. I think it would be difficult to make procedural maps with 2d art, and I'd rather them not spend weeks trying to perfect that when I could just be playing the real maps.

Looks like a class game, I went over and signed up on the forums just now. I'd say 90% of the registered users on the game forums are from Bay12.

I love the art style and whole concept of the game.

This looks good!  It could be a solid entry in my favorite genre.

BTW, others have compared it to Alien Legacy and Outpost 2, which are both very VERY good games--but I think it looks far more similar to Space Colony, myself, which isn't too bad.

Space Colony could have been so much better.

I'm also looking forward to this, and have joined the forums.
It reminds me of the bits I liked (i.e. everything but the DRAMA!) of the series Earth 2. The improvised tech, the geodesic domes, posting of sentries (I assume there'll be some kind of space-kobold that'll sneak in and pilfer unguarded food/crates) - frontier sci-fi. It all looks wonderful. Oh, and it looks wonderful, too.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.
