Just thought I'd post a bump, as lately there's been talk about a playable prototype being developed. Currently the devs are working on producing a little
sandboxy-type level with some of the main gameplay elements implemented, such as the colonists' AI and lifecycle, as well as the harvesting/resource loops.

Can't wait to see what comes of this! :)

You are some kind of sorcerer. Thank you. Wish I'd read that before I just posted a thread about it in General... :)

And more Indie devs keep my faith in gaming alive.

Someone should link to this forum topic on their forums. Lots of praise and decent ideas coming through here...

...As always.

I want to say their forums consisted almost entirely of B12ers at one point and the devs may have posted in this thread about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through it. I'm too lazy to go check though  :-\

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

well no point to make a new thread when a perfectly good one is here.

also i think significant progress on this game is a good reason to bring the thread back

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?
