You might need my eagle eyes to spot it, but DF is mentioned in this month's PC Gamer (UK) magazine - on page 94, Scarface is described as being "Not like Dwarf Fortress. Even a bit. No really." A slightly confusing reference for most of the readership I'd imagine, since I've not noticed any actual coverage of DF in there, but could it be somebody's planning an actual article? Or maybe playing the game?

Dun-dun-duuun.

EDIT: Wait, it's on the coverdisc too - not sure how I missed that...

I made the daily development page my homepage, so I can see how DF is coming along on an hourly basis. I swear its like crack. I want the book keeper bug to be fixed so much, so I can restart my fort and really go for it this time. I've never gotten a higher noble than the captian of the guard and mayor, even tho i've been playing so long. I really want to see the Dungeon Master, and the Order of ___ people.

Dwarf Fortress got mentioned in Game Informer, November 2006. It was a brief column called "Mod World" (for some odd reason.) They also briefly mentioned Liberal Crime Squad and Kobold Quest.

It gets better, in the back of the most recent copy of PC Gamer (UK) is a page listing the contents of next months mag. Under features it lists Dwarf Fortress  

Here's hoping for a nice big multi-page spread like they did for Zangband.

DF is mentioned in Game Informer too, got a good reveiw, infact that was how I found DF. Through Game Informer Magazine

In my christmas issue of PC gamer there is a big double-page spread saying how dwarf fortress is awesome. It's what got me into DF in the first place.
