Backstory: Roger was born like many other: kicking and screaming as he was dragged into a world that would crew him up and spit him out. But rather than letting himself be pounded into complacency, he decided to take life by both hands and dig himself a spot in history. He became the leader of his own crime syndicate by the age of 19, focusing mostly in the selling and modification of illegal and stolen military weapons.
However, all good things must come to an end, and Roger was caught in a bust. He manage to dodge the death sentence by pointing out some of his costumers, but he was still given two difficult choice: Spend life rotting in some prison, or become a Marine and have some shred of freedom. He chose the latter, not fully knowing what he was getting into.

Backstory: Nicholas Faust is your typical fiery idealist military volunteer. He's only 18, having just finished high school, and promptly went to the military. Will he be disappointed? Probably. Of course, his family, who already tried really hard to keep him out of the military, will probably meet him again and create STRIFE at some point in the future.

Backstory: A refugee of Mar Sara, and worked with Raynor as an SCV Pilot, and joined the Dominion marines to serve with him again in a combat role. And unlike the other SCV pilots, he ain't claustrophobic. Comes from a small settlement in the middle of nowhere on Mar Sara, where he somehow was able to receive an education from a Terran Academy, and Zerg attacks were commonplace.

Backstory: Emily's life started with a tragedy. Her mom, probably a Borali prostitute died while giving birth. Emily grew up with her dad, John Sheb, better known as "One-Shot-Johnny" for his marksmanship. John was one of the best fur trapper of Braxis, one of the few to hunt the dreaded Ursadons. Her father took her with him on his hunting trips, teaching her how to track, shoot and generally survive on the merciless ice sheets of the Ursadons flats. But John also had a darker side: like most trapper, he couldn't stand money and systematically spent the profits of his hunts in long, alcoholic nights.
It was after one such night that John, heavy with drink and upset that a whore refused his drunken advances raped his 15-years-old daughter.
Emily, still in pain from the violent loss of her virginity, took her father's skinning knife and slit his throat before running away. She spend a few difficult years trying to survive as a lone, teenage girls before signing in the Dominion Marines, hoping to leave her former life behind her.

She is dedicated, professional and aloof, and freely admits that her life lacked direction and purpose until she became a soldier. Now she displays near a total lack of self preservationres (unless the mission requires it), and a virulent hatred of all enemies of the Dominion, Xeno or Terran.

Backstory: Deb's parents were originally from Tyrador VIII, but moved to Aridas to study both the life forms and artifacts of the world. Deb inherited their interest in the local biomes and science in general, but had a tendency to act strangely, often wandering off into the jungles or abruptly holding perfectly still as though listening for something.
At some point, Deb became nervous and decided he wanted to leave Aridas. His fairly well-to-do parents obliged, moving the family back to Tyrador VIII and reasoning he would get a more formal education there anyway. Instead, the shift convinced him that he needed to explore more to understand (and that keeping on the move was better), and he signed up for the marines, intending to get a more technical position than your average grunt.

Ferris is only now getting the proper training to be a marine, but has already experienced live combat.

Backstory: His childhood was rarely normal, as his father was a drunk and his mother was rarely home. To occupy his very ample spare time, he took up hitting cans with rocks. Through this, he became a fairly good shot, being able to sight and pick off a can from about seven meters with a stone. When he was entered into school he had a hard time, he was unable to concentrate on everything the teacher said and thusly struggled to keep regular grades. Among this, no one liked him much because he was always so quiet, for his father had more then once told his to shut up in a drunken craze. He had learned his lesson, and was always quiet from there on out. Now he is nineteen and just finishing school, he decides to take up a military career where maybe he wouldn't have to put up with his parents and teachers. He feels he has finally found somewhere he could fit in.

Backstory: Nathaniel wasnt to bright of a chap, not to strong either. But tall, taller then most but skinnier then most also. His long reach kept him out of much trouble living in the streets of Los Andares. Sadly the zerg didn't care much for how long your arm was in a fight and only survived is first and only encounter with the infernal things because a unit of Confederate marines were a few feet away. He did however take a volley of Hydra spines which inadvertently saved his life while nearly killing him, as he was moved to a makeshift medical barge that bugged out with the rest of the confederate fleet. He still keeps the spines in his jacket pocket to remind himself of what almost happened, as if the massive scar on his right cheek wasn't enough.
