In the Combat Drill Field

In today's exercises, 2 teams of 20 will attempt to capture the other's flag.  There will be access to no vehicles in today's challenge.  Each team will have access to modified C-14 rifles that instead of shooting bullets will, depending on where the shot lands, will lock up certain joints, lock-up the entire suit, or cause no damage.  The suits will unlock when either a medic heals you or after 2 minutes have passed.  Good luck. says a voice talking to your through your suit's speakers.  Each team has a small base on the other side of a valley.  Also, each team has one modified C-10 rifle to give to a team mate to provide for sniping.

Your outfits are in red and you're standing, waiting for Nicholas to give his final instructions before going off and beating the crap out of the other team.

((All Medics have a Magic Heal Gun that unlocks a team mate after focusing for 5 seconds
All Firebats are acting as Marines for the duration of this mission
Armor cannot be removed until the Mission is complete
All Marines are in standard gear, with the exception of the modified rifles.
Your team is Red, Opposing team is Blue
There is one modified C-10 rifle that can be used for long range sniping per team.

The action will be taking place on a map like this.

The bases are small, immovable, and are two levels, roughly looking like this.

Level 2

........____________........
........|-----F------|........
........|------------|........
........|X----------X|........
........|------------|........
........|------------|........
........|__________|.........

Level 1

........____________........
........|------------|........
........|------------|........
........|X----------X|........
........|      |  |       |........
........|      |  |       | .......
........|____|  |____|.........

F = Flag, X = Staircase ((The Empty Space on Level 1 can is to represent a chest-high wall that you can hide behind and then pop up to shoot incoming Marines, Level 2 is also made of up Chest High Walls so that you can shoot out in relative safety at incoming people.))

If you're wondering exactly where you are in the map, you're in the little corner next to the fields in the starting area.  ((The fields can be used to cover an attack attempt if you get into them stealthily enough))

Instead of Xel-Naga towers, they are actually unoccupied, neutral sniper towers.  Time to learn how to act like a unit boys))

((COPY-PASTE TIME!))
Nicholas managed to round up his soon-to-be squad just before the drills.

“You know why you’re here right now: I’ll be your commander for the combat drills we’re about to go through. At least, most of you do.” A few, probably those who weren’t included in ’most of you’, groaned.

“Apparently, the Dominion military actually does reward having ideals to an extent. Who would have thought?” A few people laughed. “Regardless, tomorrow, you will have to do your best. You might do it for the Dominion, though I doubt any of us are doing that, aside from perhaps some of the resocs. You might do it for the Terran race. You might do it for your family and friends, or for the people of your planet or city. You might do it for your ideals, if you’re me. If you’re not doing it for yourself to some extent, you should get the hell out of here before they really start to take notice of you.” More laughs. “There’s one group of people who you really need to do it for. That’s each other. Though I’ll do my best for myself, for my friends, for the average Terran, the people who most need it are you and me. Most of us have had little to no combat experience. Tomorrow will be our first real test, though it will be far from our last. Our only hope of coming out of this successful is to work together. You still with me?”

"Sir, nice speech, but let's get a move on!

And I have a suggestion, one of us takes our flag around with us, we need to be mobile! We can't spread our men to thin defending an area. Why don't we wait at the eastern Sniper tower and hold up there, taking potshots?"

Once the speech is done Aaron runs out of the base taking the left pass making sure to stick to cover and to shoot at aby enemies.

Aaron doesn't run off because the drills haven't started yet.

"...Better idea. If we win, drinks are on me!" Nicholas says.
This provokes applause, but it's short lived, as the squad suits up immediately thereafter.

He stops up short hearing the drill has not started yet and goes back and grabs the flag " I will carry it."

"Sir, if we have another incident later it's on you. Anyway, LET'S GET OUT THERE AND KICK SOME DOMINION TRAINED ASS! Not you guys, except probably Aaron, but anyway let's do this! And Aaron, you're a firebat, quit holding the flag and give it to a Medic."

"YES SIR! Nicholas I'll take the lead, medics, why don't you stay in the middle. Marines, distribute if necessary. Also I got 400 credits right now, and if we win this everybody here actually does get drinks on the house. Or 10 credits each."
