Small question:
As the new animal will be part of the 16 domestic animals update,
are these sponsored suggestions also suposed to be domestic-able animals or can they be as fancifull as our little minds can concieve?

I notice that there are a fair few scavengers and detritivores on the list. If they get sponsors, will tags for that sort of behavior be most probably added? I'm envisioning a [DETRITIVORE_MEAT][DETRITVORE_PLANT][DETRITIVORE_ANY] set, which would be really cool.

On a related note, I've just sent an endorsement for Jackals.

That whould be awesome, having buzzards eat from corpses and your refuse stockpiles, the more rotting corpses, the more arrive...
And dwarves whould get bad thoughts from seeing loved ones gobbled up by buzzards.

Personally, I'm going for Osprey. Those blasted carps never knew what hit em! >=D

Aww, too bad I can't donate anything right now. :(

I thought hedgehogs were in the game already, but it turns out they are missing at least their spines, so I guess sponsorship for the hedgehog would be for a rewrite, then.

I would love to vote for one of those, but alas, I can't.

It would also be cool if we could make a voting for custom creatures, which come into the game then ;)

A great idea, I'll go through the animals and then sponsor one.

But it's a shame there aren't many (any?) recently extincted animals - Dwarf Fortress would be a great opportunity to bring them back to life once again. I'm talking about sea cows, thylacines, tarpans, aurochs, etc. Here's hoping for some extinct donation drive in the future.

It does bring up the question of what "should" be in DF. Distinctly real-world-localised animals (the kiwi, lemur, kangaroo, platypus, capybara, kea, cockatoo, etc, all of which are on the sponsor list) will be jarring enough.

I would like to see procedurally generated mundane animals, I am sure that is why we have the Aye-Aye

I wish there was a way to donate via CC directly...

That's how I donated using the PayPal link. They have a credit card option that doesn't require logging in or anything.

"The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number."

Because I already used it with my paypal account, I guess.  :'(

And when I try to login Paypal it gives me:
"Your account is limited. Please check your Account Overview page for messages about resolving this problem."

The only hope I have is the other card I have but I haven't activated it yet...
