Donated, nominated the platypus because I think it'll be an interesting test of the game's systems (it is a truly bizarre creature, after all, and technically a monotreme but that's a subset of marsupials with only two member species so I'll allow it). I have vague hopes that it will become a new bane of dwarven existence, but one can only hope. I also completely support the addition of Chupathingies.

I think the combination of real and not-real creatures makes for an interesting blend. I was tempted briefly to put down 'Drop Bear' or its reasonably close real-world cousin the Thylacoleo but figured I should stick to the list. I'm rather hoping for some more real-world crops to appear when farming is updated...'cave wheat' and 'bloated tubers' for example add some flavour, but they often remind me of ten foot laser poles, so to speak.

Edit: I just realised I made an orphaned joke. Capybari: what I meant. Chupathingy: Good ol' Red vs. Blue. Though Chupacabras would make a great addition too, I don't doubt!

I could see a future in which Platypus Poison makes every jaunt outside a possible mortal venture.

Just sponsored the Raven.  What good are heaps of enemy dead without a murder of ravens to eat their eyes?

This forum's funny: it's the only place I say things like "What good are heaps of enemy dead without a murder of ravens to eat their eyes?"

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...It should be pretty fun though.

It's amazing how many birds there are from New Zealand.
Kea
Kiwi
Kakapo

I don't know which one is more worth voting for! Probably not the kea, since they would be like buzzards.

What color was the mailman's hair?

Oh god I hope not, buzzards are always killing my dwarves and I'm scared enough venturing outside irl because of the eight constantly-scrapping kakas in the forest next to my house.

The sheer chaos potentially caused by dwarves disturbing a beehive make it the only real choice.

I had to go with the wolverine. My fort needs war wolverines to unleash on the elves enemy.
