Cleared out the first level of the dungeon, killing one boss and claiming some good iron armor and a decorated masterwork bronze scimitar, then headed down the stairs to explore. Immediately struck in the spine by a hammerman, who then knocks out my teeth and breaks most of my bones before I know what hit me. I manage to crawl back up the stairs, leaving my companion behind to fend for himself, and drag myself outside where I take a good long rest. Most of my wounds heal, but I still can't walk. Tired of this town, I decide to make my way to a neighboring dwarven civilization (I've modded dwarves to make towns but haven't visited one yet). Two tiles from the town I'm ambushed by a group of kobolds including a spearmaster who barks at me in his stupid kobold language something that I assume is meant to sound threatening. I hit a few of them with thrown arrows before they get to me. One lands a lucky blow and I fall unconscious. I lie there waiting for death... but death is not forthcoming. These guys are pathetic! Can't even land a hit on a single unconscious human. They keep trying to bash me to death but can't get through my armor. At long last I get struck in the brain by a lucky arrow and drift off into sweet oblivion...

Man, I really LIKED that scimitar!

Dodged a groundhog, fell into a murky pool, drowned. Actually picked up a fatal infection, too, so that would have been it anyway.  All after a nice promising start, with skills developing well.  Sigh.

Never starting a novice swimmer again.  Should have just trained him when I had the chance.

My last two deaths:
My adventurer was really hungry so he fought an alligator and lost. The last death involved a mummy and animated furniture as I got too greedy in a tomb. He was also cursed twice. My current adventure has greatly benefited from all the dropped loot however. :) The undead are nowhere to be seen.

My latest maceman Adventurer (because I felt like trying a different set of weapons) set the record for most kills in one life. He started out with a morning star. :D 102 notable kills. 5 were Goblin kills, who were among a group that had ambushed me and my two companions in travel mode. Sadly, this ambush was at the cost of their lives... Me, in a wave of anger, went to find their Dark Fortress to kill them all. (Never found said Fortress.) Me, with nothing to do, decided to go to a cave that from what I remember, is the closest one to the undiscovered underworld zone on the Legends mythical map, thinking the cave should clearly lead me to there.

Warning, wall of text following.

Yep, Kobolds were a new (if not weak) enemy to me.
I'm sort of a new player to this game. Just yesterday, I found a cavern (that wasn't flooded) on Fortress Mode. The day before that though, I found a cavern that was full of water on Adventure Mode. My Adventurer had no trouble swimming at all (he ain't a novice), but for some reason, he eventually started to drown! He was at the top of the water, and there wern't any walls or blocks above him. I checked with l just to be sure. Though the moment before that, I had him swim underwater to a tile that had a block above. When I moved him back though, he just kept drowning. It looked like some sort of glitch...
It kind of pissed me off a bit, since that cavern happened to be my first one.

If you're not at least Adequate at swimming, you can panic and start to drown in water you'd normally be able to swim through no problem. Though, that usually only happens when stunned if anything but Novice or Dabbling.

Ambushed by goblins, i approach a lone goblin hammerman, he shatters my leg and pops the next one in the head. Skull in the brain and bye bye. Shame, i really liked my guy, 100 notable kills or so.

Went on a rampage in a market place. Got my arm chopped up, and I killed a bunch of farmers. I fought mostly with hit and run tactics, never facing more then one opponent. Either strangling them into unconsciousness, or crippling them, or killing them out right with a head shot. Then, this guy who I had strangled earlier got up, and kicked my ass. To death.
FUN TIMES WERE HAD.

In this one room of the dungeons, I have been getting sniped by this Bowman, who must have elite Observer and Elite Marskmanship... I've saved before that, though. First time was a headshot, and the next was an arrow in the spine - lost breathing, standing and grasping. The next time was the same deal... I don't suppose there is any way to heal from "cannot breathe."
