Most of time i get killed because of BOOGEEY's and the old fashioned way : The cooper carving knife applied directly to the adamantite covered head , insta death
I should learn to get companions to deal with those hazards >.<

My Latest deth was in a fortress , I slept outside inside it after runing away from a goblin ambush , i've should asked for a companion
Guess what , my old friends : THE BOOGEEEY killed me

Night Creature hit my spine with a lucky shot. From there it was just a lot of me trying to crawl away while this thing shook me around by the hand.

That wasn't technically a miscarriage, but the doctors didn't have a concise term for "gave birth and immediately baptized the baby in liquid fire."

My latest encounter includes boogey but that is not what killed me.
I was going to a city because night was falling but then I was surrounded by cackling.
When I encountered them I automatically landed in a pit with no exit.
I couldn't escape or kill them so I just stood there while one or two boogey man teleported in the pit.
After daybreak I got to some city with river next to it and then I took a dive in the river.
Saw crocodiles and went to fight them after getting out.
While I was fighting one limbless croc tackled me into the river and I drowned.

First ever adventurer. "there is an outlaw a short walk to the east"

So I wander. And wander. And wander.

An alligator! My trusty mace should make short walk of this alligator (that keeps throwing up everywhere?)

Whack! Dodge! Whack! Roll away!

<this is going well!>

Whack! Dodge! Whack! The alligator is bleeding! It runs away, and I lay chase (Geezuz it can fast while bleeding, through up everywhere and in mortal peril)

I lose it.  Awwww

I wander east.

The alligator returns for round 2! It bites my big toe! It latches on firmly! It thrashed! It tears my foot off!

Wait, what? Shit.

So ends adventure #1.

Tried to visit my old fortress.
Lost my companions during a goblin ambush on the way.
Arriving at the gates of the fortress, was killed by Bogeymen.
My corpse now rots among those of the dwarves.

My adventurer is the only dead elf the fortress has ever seen. I must have done sonething wrong.

As dwarves slowly lose their stats over time it's natural for them to get fatter as they age because there's no activities to train healing rate.
so dwarves that die of old age in DF dont get shriveled and weak, but huge round masses of meat and fat that explode spectacularly upon their final birthday?

This was a while ago, but memorable.

I was on a pretty good streak taking quests and killing monsters. I charge into a monster's cave, a tiny, dark hole in the wall. I laugh when I see its weapon.  A carving fork. This should be easy.

I charge the monster but he gets to me first and attacks.  Boom, I get stabbed in the chest, and he punctures my lung. Gasping for air and coughing up blood, there's nothing I can do as the monster raises its arm to attack again.  It brings the fork down on my head and shatters my skull, sending fragments into my brain.

Just goes to show, you should never judge a book by its cover in this game.

R.I.P Gasin Laudedphrased the Everseeing Speechlessness of Assemblies 1017-1050

Early in his career he had his right hand ripped apart by a bandit (ass hat). Undaunted, he grabbed his sword in his left hand and commenced slaughter.
He glitched to the bottom of a kobold cave and had to fight his way out. Meanwhile all of his companions died trying to reach him.
After 110 notable kills (and 22 other ones) and almost everyone considering him a legendary hero, Gasin recruits a bunch of civilians (to see how long they could survive) approaches the layer of Thiliri Searpine the Ashen Night, a night horror consort.
The consort's first attack caves in Gasin's skull. The end.
It was really anticlimactic, and to a consort no less! Not even a regular night creature.

Forks, knives, and daggers all have a good weight/contact area ratio and enough penetration to reach the brain. I had an adventurer who killed dragons and hydras with an -iron slicing knife- from a human peasant.

Code: [Select]
pike spear large dagger slicing knife carving fork
size 800 400 200 150 150
contact area 20 20 5 3 1
s/c 40 20 40 50 150
higher s/c is better. May the fork be with you.

I was having a bunch of fun duel wielding short swords, but then I forgot to bring a shield with me when I fought a dragon and I melted.

Goblin civilization ambushed my crawling martial artist and 18 companions with what was essentially an army. So... I'm their enemy, because I've survived their ambushes twice, and have only fought them in self-defense... Really hate how that works out.

After killing lots of goblins, I went to explore an old abandoned fortress. I was attacked by buzzards inside, and on my way out..... a horse kick me on the head..... now this horse has is own entry on Legends mode  :'(

Bogeymen again. I had just slaughtered a family of night creatures too, and they come and kill me.
