Double Posting (For Great Justice!)

The Travellers got to work quickly, building a small forge and making some rudimentary tools out of the supplies of metal they had brought. First off the anvil was a Steel Pick Hammer for Gareth, as he would be the main defence of the group until ammo or trap components were manufactured. Next up was a copper ripper for chopping trees. This, with hindsight, may not have been the best use of the metal, as there were no trees, scrap piles, or other usable resources on the surface. It was decided that Tallpanzer would receive the weapon, as he would find it useful for his work as a medic. Last up was a Copper Combat Shotgun, which was quickly claimed by Christopher, despite the lack of ammo for it. He was seen several times over the next few days, usually dragging a corpse to the makeshift butcher set up by Bobby. Most of the animals seemed to have been killed with blunt force trauma, and the stock of the shotgun was stained a mixture of colours. There was an unspoken agreement not to ask Christopher about her hunting habits.

Any particular profession? The first migrants are likely to be military (Super Mutant ambushes are really, really nasty), but there'll be a few that don't go straight in.

I'm not very familiar with the fallout mod, but I'll be part of the military. Preferably a chainsaw user (though if I'm interpreting this right, I'll start off with a ripper for the axe skill).

How are you going to show progress of the fort? Telling about it, screenshots, or video? Just curious.

Rippers and Chainsaws both use axe skill, Chainsaws do more damage but are more than twice as heavy.

I generally use chainsaws, as I think they're slightly more awesome. Tallpanzer got a ripper because he mentioned they're used by medics in the fallout world, and he's unlikely to have to hit anyone with it. I hope.

Progress will be shown via a few screenshots, and a lot of storytelling.
