I have a question about fish cleaning. So I have a fisherdwarf/fish cleaner. I built a fishery and ordered some fish to be prepared. But the fisherdwarf just continues to fish and pays no attention to the orders. How can I get him to clean some fish (because they're taking up pointless space otherwise)?

Try enabling fish dissection as well.

Failing that, turn off his fishing labor.

If you're using a single dwarf for both fishing and fish cleaning, he's probably got so many fishing jobs queued up that he never gets around to cleaning them.  Try temporarily disabling "fishing" and leave only "fish cleaning" enabled and see if he hops to it.

I usually have a separate dwarf dedicated to fish cleaning while one more more dedicated fisherdwarves are bringing in the fish.
