Very, very awesome. Kudos to you. Sooo.... please explain how?

When something collapses onto magma, it generates yellow (and very deadly) magma mist, in contrast to the grey smoke you get from collapses that aren't into lava (and just what kind of collapses are those huh? Undwarvenly ones that's what.)

The trading platform here was (as far as I can tell) held up by 3 supporting objects. A drawbridge leading in from the outside, the drawbridge connecting to the tower, and a support or series of supports linked to a lever within the tower. Once the bridges were raised and the supports collapsed, the platform plunged down however many Z-levels to an equally large area with some magma pools creating the letters of the words. The collapse thus generated magma mist in the shape of the words, surrounded by normal smoke.

Given this feat of planning, combined with the amount of obsidian, clear glass, goblins, and megabeasts put into place, this has to be among the, if not the, most dwarven thing I have ever seen out of this game.

A man would see that as a difficult challenge.
An elf would see that and despair.
A dwarf would see that and say, "Bring it on."

However, bridges do not support construction, even though the game thinks they do when planning the constructions. So just the supports underneath holding it up. The bridges were, up, I assume, to hold all the occupants in.

What is this, a therapy session? We don't need to console someone because they're upset about a fucking video game. Grow a beard, son, and take off those elf ears!

Urist McCrazyOldDwarf:  well let me tell you the story of the best Dwarfmas in the world.
Dwarven Children: O_O
Urist McCrazyOldDwarf:  Well back when i was just a lad way back then my parents and their friends and their friends friends spent years making this huge project.  When i was finally old enough to drink was when the damn elf bastards came with their caravan.  As they unpacked we were all called downstairs into the observatory room.  As levers were pulled we saw Megabeasts and the green bastards fight and kill the goblins.  After that was done another lever was pulled and the corpses and bodies fell into magma and mixed with the dust the magma mist spelled Happy Dwarfmas.

Absolute legend! I also laughed out loud, in a very quiet office :D Well, it was certainly quiet as I felt 20 pairs of eyes staring at the back of my head... But if only they could see what I have seen and understand! Thanks for this, made my day

Why does this only have two pages of replies?! This should forever be emblazoned into the Halls of Memory as the most epic holiday-themed megaproject to go down!
