This dwarf had better not ever become the mayor.
« on: December 15, 2010, 06:26:30 pm »

A miner was possessed and I checked her profile to see what she was probably making (I'm guessing a quern, SUCKY) but I also noticed that she likes wagon wood. Is this longing for what could have been because I started on a lakeside cliff face without a wagon?

It was the reason she signed up for embark. All those weeks taveling on the sexy wagon, she couldn't resist.

I'd let her see my wagon wood...

When possible, she prefers to consume wagon wheels.

I have one similar. She likes Green Jade, Borax (which I'm pretty sure isn't in my embark area), Adamantine, and diamonds. Naturally, she has the highest social skills of anyone in my 130-dwarf fort, and also my best brewer. I'm really glad I can choose who I have as mayor.

So they plant trees specifically for the use of making wagons and nothing else, and call them 'wagon trees' ?

Not to worry, she'll go for 2 conglomerate querns first. (Do people actually USE querns?)

The "maybe-mayor" could get the spontaneous urge to create flour, right in her room.

They're millstones that take up 1 tile of space and don't need any power. They are used to mill plants into flour for cooking and dye for cloth. Hells yea I use a quern.

Oh, trust me, I've had this happen multiple times, so I installed the querns in the mayor's bedroom. And then used them. And she got unhappy thoughts from the noise.

Let me guess, they also hate being outdoors.
