You can help improving a filter by submitting stuff, good. You can also turn it off, even beter. Censorship is a nono on the net I think. (Child porn is where I draw the line though, that stuff should never see the light of day.)

If you want to protect your kids on the internet you should try the following extreme tactic. Keep an eye on them.

Want to leave them unattended, drop em behind the TV like our parents did with us. At the most they will stare at the scrambled porn channel till their eyes bleed, which is ok, we turned out alright

While I think hope everyone here agrees on CP and other appalling material, it's hard to argue against censorship on principle (all censorship = bad) without sounding hypocritical (some censorship = good).

If you can't afford to keep an eye on your kid, and you think kids should be sheltered from everything on the internet, don't get the internet. Better, don't get a kid. Don't restrict everyone else's freedom because you want to pretend they won't find out about this stuff from others.

The issue is not that Pokemon porn exists on the internet. The problem is that it appeared on Google images while using the filter that is supposed to block that sort of thing. The filter is not just for children, it is also for people who don't want porn mixed with their results.

I formally acknowledge both points. it is a shame that a filter designed to keep out porn can't ever be made perfect. They would have to develop some really crazy boob and penis recognition software before it could get very close. And then cartoon porn is even harder.

And the bible... if most christians read it in a version they understood, their worlds would collapse. If it were made into a movie, it would be rated X by far.
