Good thing Holland doesn't have Juries yet :P
Though who needs a fingerprint database when you've got 6 times more phones tapped than the US?

OK, so, why does 4chan ban all proxies?  Because, man, it's run by the FBI, dude!

They just set up /b/ to attract all the delinquents / idiots / sexual predators.  G-Man has, like, a list, man, of everyone's IP address who's ever loaded /b/ so they can track 'em down real easy. The FBI is running Anonymous so they can build a "damn kids" straw man that'll let 'em curtail our civil liberties and have greater control over the internet.

That's why you can't get on unless you give them your IP.  Spread the word, brother.

On the other hand...some of the new regional Wikileaks clones that have been springing up lately?  I would not doubt that some of them really are run by their local governments in secret.  Leak things that harm the opposition party, capture whistleblowers that are hostile to the current regime.  If you ever see a wikileaks.cn show up, stay the hell away.

Japan is secretly taking over the world using subliminal messages hidden in anime and manga. That is why anime girls are so irresistible. The seizures from that Pokemon episode were the results of a foul-up in the coding.

Who thinks anime girls are irresistable?  What's there to resist, they're not real.

They are in fact assortments of colors and lines usually presented in two dimensions.
There are tons of ways that you potentially COULD resist them. Not that you'd want to of course.

You could resist looking at them lustfully.
You could resist watching them.
You could resist fantasizing about them.
You could resist talking feverishly about them.
You could resist purchasing expensive figurines with there likeness.

Besides, who cares if something is real or not?
It is a hypothetical resistance.

If hypothetically Terezi existed and hypothetically made an advance on you, could you hypothetically resist her?

And that isn't even Japanese animation.

My favorite one is that snopes is run by nazis. Seriously, look at who debunked it... snopes?

Being a head shorter than me, alien, likely out for my blood and underage in both worlds, yes.

Ultimately it doesn't matter so much about colored lines and images so much as stories. How odd is it for somebody to feel those things for a fictional story meant to portray some emotion, that generally being happiness or entertainment? That's sort of my reason: these are stories made to entertain and inspire specific feelings in the people listening to the story. And while a story may be made to inspire feelings of lust for a character I understand the futility of it all, as it's just a one-way flow of emotions. Giving them more thought than the story grants would be making my own stories for my own pleasure. While there isn't anything I can pin as wrong with that it does raise some interesting views on the whole thing.

Anybody else find it odd that Bay12 doesn't have any Tin Foil Hatters?

Most forums have one or twelve.

They're coming to get me! EEEEEEEEEE!
In all seriousness, the closest things we have to Tin Foil Hatters are Nikov and Armok, the former because some of his opinions are an extreme minority in our community, and the latter because Armok's arguments tend to be just plain different. Not that any of that is a bad thing, mind you, I greatly enjoy the presence of them both on the forum.
