Oh, those character pages.
Yeah, turn them in. Maybe something fun will arise.
By the way the more info you give us the better. (Civ name, fort name, kings name, date, something interesting about history, anything)
And about wolves corpses butcher them before bringing them down, we don't need miasma for nothing there.
And my part of story:
It was 1 granite of whatever year, numbers weren't something Di was good with. He could handle the lesser ones such as days or months but he'd never got around to getting used to those hundreds and thousands. He never saw any use of this. While you could expect a caravan in the slate or limestone (which are seventh and eight months accordingly) or use numbers from 1 to 50 calculating your payment in copper, there was nothing you could expect only in 1051 and not in sometime else, it's goblins always in Coppercasket. Di knew that if he becomes a next dwarven king he'll be forced to learn those, but that's not now.
Anyways at the 1st Granite of unknown year Di was surveying the site they were sent to. It wasn't mountains all he could say. On the one side he was glad to change place. He was more experienced in combat on narrow rocky paths of the mountains on the other.
They'd need to take some measures in order to provide better defense for the camp. Di looked at the wagon crash site, it was an ancient tradition to reduce wheels to a pile of slivers after arriving at the place where a great fortress of dwarfdom should arise someday. Even if it was a sure death in the middle of freezing wasteland no pioneer had ever broke this law. This had caused carpenters never use worth wood for wagons which in turn resulted in many fortresses being founded way far from intended place.
Back on the story though, Di examined equipment issued to him. A fine iron plate, and pick was steel one. Di wished he could have any of these back there in mines.
"Looks like that kings hoardmaster was even worse with numbers than I am." he thought putting on his only boot "well, that means I could compete for a hoardmaster chair if I fail this one"
Then his mind went to his companions, he hadn't familiarized with them much.
"Here we have: A queen who promises to be demanding and arrogant prick as all noble are. An impetuous !!Panzer!!, hell, even her name makes me think about flames. Ottottott fine chap who was sent to assist us, really hardworking guy. He's going to dig us some shelter, I'd give him a hand with this, maybe I'm not the best miner but I could handle soil after all, but kings orders were clear no work for us. Metallis, the guy with axe can't say anything more about him. Well at least he told us his name unlike those two gloomy fellas who also participate."
"Hm looks like !!Panzer!! has finished slaying innocent animals, need to tell Ottottott to butcher them at least. Well enough chilling out soon something more hostile than a bunch of wild relatives of dogs will show up. It's time to prepare ourselves. Now where are our barraks?"
