I'd also like to make another suggestion: Christopher Stone from Freedom Fighters, which was a kickass game.

Spoiler: Excerpt from Wikipedia (click to show/hide)

Pretty much he's charismatic enough to make a ragtag rebel army against invading Russians, he's proficient with all sorts of guns, and has fearsome plumbing skills.

IMO he should be given an AK-47, a 12 Gauge, and a pistol for the purposes of this topic, cause that's what I always used with him in Freedom Fighters.

I would have hoped that wth five other judges, at least one of them would have started a match by now.

Well, are there any requests for the first one?

Thing is, everyone else thought the same thing.

Just posting to say that I am here and ready to judge. Should fights be done in a separate thread or something to stop this one from being to chaotic and nonsensical?

Well, as long as the arguments for each fight are kept in seperate spoilers, it should avoid becoming chaotic.

I know very little about the two combatants, but as far as I know the Monster Hunter has his armour and a massive-ass axe and the predator has all the gear a predator would have access to in the movies.

I'm thinking that the Predator would be a bit too much if it has both its stealth tech and its instant-kill weapons.
Anybody agree, or am I full of shit?

the monster hunter guy is usually equipped with food for stamina, healing potions, specialized herbs for specific power boosts, traps for holding down its hunted, whetstones to resharpen his blade weapons, throwing knives dipped in paralyzing or sleeping agents and even a bomb for some last second move.

The switch axe description is this:

Well then, if anyone is equipped to defeat a predator then this is the man/woman.

Predator:
Strong: They can carry all their equipment and still run and climb without any real difficulty and never really had any trouble overpowering body-builders...
Fast: They cover ground quickly, but lets chalk that up to experience, it isn't really supernatural...
Tough: Bullet-wounds to the limbs don't even slow them down.
Phobia of medicine: but threaten them with a bit old old-fashioned surgical care and they howl as though there will be no tomorrow...(I am wondering if their medical equipment is all barbed and coated with acid...)
Heat vision: Very good at spotting athletic types who have just run half-way across an island, not so good at spotting a fish in water.
Seek a challenge: If they excessively overpower their opponent then they will choose to leave some of their equipment behind.
Mimic: They can replicate a wide variety of sounds and can probably decipher an alien language in a matter of days.(may be equipment-based)
Climber: Likes to stick to the trees.
Experienced hunter: knows how to track and forage, will be expecting traps from intelligent opponents.

Armour: Minimal, but they are very resilient.

Tools:
Mask: Records sound and probably vision, provide assorted visual filters to facilitate hunting when heat vision is impaired.
Medical Supplies: Fix a bullet-wound right up, apparently painful, find a remote location before using them as they take a few minutes to apply and the howls of agony will give away your location.
Flesh-be-gone!: Removes all that unsightly gunk from your shiny new trophy.
Stealth-field: Tends to malfunction if it is wet, but renders you completely invisible except for some vague visual distortions, shouldn't really be spotted unless they are moving. Even then it'll be difficult to aim at them.

Weapons:
Blaster: laser-sighted, very accurate, very messy, takes a while to aim, if you just blaze away with it then it tend to miss, actually, it is hopelessly inaccurate, but the laser sights fix that, and the explosive blast also helps.
Net: Super-strong net shoots over a short range and anchors itself to a surface, it then contracts, slicing anything that is caught inside it.(did this appear in the first movie?)
Discus: metal disc, fast, self-propelled, and crazy-sharp. Just keeps cutting and cutting. Works ranged or as a knife.(was this in the first movie?)
Spear: made of super-metal it'll cut through just about anything and can be thrown accurately.
Self-destruct: probably removed from the tournament, although I would rather have an option to remove the arm and leave it as a present.
Claws: Sharp, super-metal claws for removing limbs in close combat.

General knowledge:
 North America: Zip
South America: in times of heat and conflict monsters come, they skin people alive and steal their bones, may coincide with a large unexplained explosion.
Secret(military): a team was killed by an unknown entity, possibly extra-terrestrial. Apparently an unarmed soldier managed to beat it to death, it was supposedly invisible and had crazy weapons.
Secret(alien): don't know about the galactic community, but if you can infiltrate the predators themselves...

Did I miss anything?
